The Volkswagen Group plans to “Rise Up” at the Auto China 2026 Media Night on April 21. The Group will launch over 20 new electrified vehicles (NEVs) this year alone and four of them will make their world premiere on April 21.
At the center of it all is the debut of the AUDI E7X, the second production model under Audi’s new China-focused “AUDI” brand. The exterior design is set to break cover first, with the interior following shortly after at Auto China 2026, highlighting a strong focus on digital experiences and next-gen luxury.
Alongside the E7X, Audi is rolling out a full lineup that blends tradition with innovation. The latest Audi A6L keeps the combustion engine alive for buyers who want it, while the Audi A6L e-tron pushes fully into the EV future. Then there’s the AUDI E5 Sportback, fresh off being named “2026 China Car of the Year,” adding even more credibility to Audi’s electrification strategy.
But Audi didn’t stop at road cars. Fresh off the buzz of Formula 1 in Shanghai, the brand is also showcasing the Audi R26 F1 show car.
Beyond the hardware, Audi is leaning heavily into software and user experience. Advanced driver-assistance systems are evolving quickly, with features like Navigation on Autopilot and intelligent parking becoming standard expectations. The bigger story, though, is AI. Audi is working toward vehicles that don’t just respond to inputs, but actually understand driver behavior and preferences.
In a market that demands cutting-edge tech and constant innovation, Audi isn’t just keeping up, it’s trying to lead. And if this latest wave of products is any indication, the brand’s next chapter in China could be one of its most important yet.
