Audi’s DTM Icons Return to the Track at Hockenheim’s Jim Clark Revival

There was no Formula 1 racing this past weekend but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t get your Audi Sport fix. Several classic Audi DTM cars took part in the ADAC Hockenheim Historic Das Jim Clark Revival.

For some enthusiasts, the Audi DTM cars are the most exciting, and those fans got a special treat this past weekend. With Mother’s Day being Sunday, a lot of folks may have missed the live event, but that is OK. The Hockenheimring has the entire event available for your viewing pleasure on their YouTube channel.

The new CLASS ONE Revival racing series is meant to boost interest in the classic racing scene. And who doesn’t love to see classic Audis mixing it up on track? Two Audi RS 5 DTM cars, once driven by Audi factory drivers Mike Rockenfeller and Nico Müller, took part in the CLASS ONE Revival at Hockenheim. Nico Müller himself was be at the wheel of his former race car, chassis number 114. The Swiss driver finished as DTM runner-up in 2019 and 2020 in that car.

Another highlight is the Audi 80, which the automaker had already developed in 1993 but never put into action. And for the Audi TT fans there was the TT-R DTM chassis entered by the ABT Sportsline team for the 2000 DTM season.

There are four more historic events scheduled for 2026. July 2–5, Le Mans – Le Mans Classic Legend, August 7–9, Nürburgring, CLASS ONE Revival Belmot Oldtimer Grand Prix, August 29–30, Red Bull Ring CLASS ONE Revival Red Bull Ring Classics.
