Audi Q4 e-tron Impacted by Latest Round of Recalls From Volkswagen Auto Group
[Source: NBC News]
Volkswagen and Audi have recalled over 60,000 electric vehicles due to a faulty gear display that may increase the risk of rollaway accidents, according to NHTSA.
The issue affects 2022 and 2023 model year Audi Q4 e-trons, Q4 Sportback e-Trons, and 2021-2023 model year Volkswagen ID.4s. These vehicles may not display the “N” gear position correctly, potentially confusing drivers and violating safety standards. If the correct gear is not shown and the parking brake is not engaged, rollaway accidents could occur.

Owners will be notified by April 25th and can visit dealerships for a free brake control unit software update. In the meantime, Volkswagen urges immediate repairs and advises drivers to confirm the parking brake indicator light is on before exiting the vehicle.
This recall follows a recent recall from the group affecting nearly 30,000 Volkswagens and Audis for a faulty rear view camera display. For more information, contact the NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236 or visit nhtsa.gov.
