In a Youtube video released a couple of days ago, Audi of America President, Scott Keogh, sat down with Roadshow at the North American International Auto Show.
Amongst the talk of autonomy technology, rideshare, dealer relations, and the launch of the new A7, Keogh confirmed the RS 5 Sportback for the US market.
“One, I’ve been a big proponent for trying to fight for these cars and now we’re finally getting them,” said Keogh. “And we’ll see the RS 5 coupe…and then of course, we’ll have the RS 5 Sportback as well.”
But then he dropped the bombshell.
“We have one other surprise we’re working on, but I’ll hold that one. There’s a cool European model that we haven’t brought in yet, and it has been the number one car on my list. So maybe we’ll get it. You can probably guess but I’m not going to confirm.”
Wait…what?
Could it be that finally an RS 4 Avant will grace the shores of the States? It’s probably the most desired RS model that the US market wants and has been hoping for for many years. We’ll see.
