Audi Holds U.S. Prices Steady Despite Q2 Sales Dip
According to Detroit News, Audi has announced it will not raise prices in the U.S. this July, despite a sharp 19% drop in sales during the second quarter, marking the brand’s sixth consecutive quarterly decline in the market. The dip is attributed to a challenging economic climate and ongoing model changeovers.
Audi’s top-seller in the U.S., the Q5 SUV imported from Mexico, saw sales fall 29% during the period. With no current production facility in the U.S., Audi is now considering local manufacturing, possibly in collaboration with Volkswagen’s Scout brand or its Tennessee plant.
As sales in China soften under pressure from local EV makers, German automakers like Audi are increasingly focused on maintaining competitiveness in the U.S. market.
