Hello again Audi aficionados! Thank you for reading another Auction Watch where we’ve done the internet searching for you. We’ve checked multiple online car auction sites looking for Audi models worthy of your bids. Typically each Thursday, but on Wednesday this week, we post those listings calling out a car’s highlights and include a few pictures and a link to the listing. Our goal is to help you find that certain Audi that you’re looking for in time for you to bid on it.
This week’s edition of Auction Watch is a day earlier than normal because my navigator and I are going on a trip which also preempts next week’s edition. Look for the next Auction Watch on or about September 11th. Now on to this week’s listings which begin with two V-10 powered Audis, in sedan and spyder body styles, that are again looking for a new home. Next, there’s an R8 V-10 coupe that now has more horsepower than the tires may know what to do with—you need to see the dyno chart on this one! Listings feel a bit more typical as there are two more R8s, an RS 4, and two TT coupes. The elder statesman this week might make you do a double take given last week’s Red Devil auction, it’s a 1983 Mars Red Ur quattro. The low-mileage selections this week are both from 2021, an SQ8 with only 4,800 miles and an RS 5 Coupe with only 8,000 miles. This 2007 S6, which last sold at auction in mid-June, is powered by a 5.2L V10 that connects to a 6-speed Tiptronic. It’s Quartz Gray over black with 109k miles. Carfax reports three owners and no accidents or damage. The no reserve auction ends 08.28.2025 at 1:45 PM EDT.
A 2014 R8 V10 Spyder that last sold on BaT in October 2024 for $85k is back after less than 1,000 miles. It’s triple black, has a Diamond Stitched Full Leather Package and only 30k miles. The Carfax report is clean and the auction ends 08.29.2025 at 2:35 PM EDT.
2020 Audi R8 V10 Performance Coupe (10,000 Miles)

This Tango Red metallic coupe was born fast but now it’s crazy fast thanks to an Extreme Turbo Systems twin-turbo kit for the 5.2L V10. The 7-speed S tronic has a Dodson Motorsport Promax nine-plate clutch to handle the new power level, see photo #196 for the dyno sheet. There are over $69k of mods including that big swan-neck wing out back. Please read the listing for all the details. The black interior has Nappa leather with Express Red stitching and a Sport Seat package. Carfax reports no accidents or damage.
2015 Audi S4 (87,500 Miles)

This Glacier White metallic B8.5 sedan’s only mods are a Milltek Sport cat-back exhaust, a black rear spoiler, red painted calipers, Apple CarPlay, tinted windows, and remote start. The black interior features Fine Nappa leather Magma Red/black seats, Carbon Atlas inlays, and a Technology package. The supercharged 3.0L V6 was rated at 333/hp/325 lb-ft when new and it pairs with a 7-speed S tronic and optional Sport diff. Carfax reports no accidents or damage.
2013 Audi S5 Cabriolet (75,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This drophead coupe is listed as white (Glacier or Ibis) and it has a black soft top. The black interior has Fine Nappa leather seats, B&O sound, and A/C that was recharged in May and July 2024. The supercharged 3.0L V6, Audi rated at 333HP/325 lb-ft, pairs well with a 7-speed S tronic. Carfax reports three previous owners and no accidents or damage.
2019 Audi S5 Sportback (63,000 Miles)

No Reserve. A Brilliant Black sportback is next and this one has contrasting Magma Red Nappa leather seats. Also in the black cabin are carbon fiber trim, a Cold Weather package, and B&O sound. The 3.0L turbocharged V6 now runs a 034Motorsport ECU tune and has Integrated Engineering intercooler, downpipes, and race cats. The 8-speed Tiptronic shifts to a 034Motorsport TCU tune. Please read the listing for more mods. The chassis rolls on bronze 20” Neuspeed RS wheels. Carfax reports two previous owners, no accidents or damage, and a Lemon Squad inspection report is included in the listing.
2002 Audi A8 4.2 (37,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Although this low-mileage (for the MY) classic sedan might seem like good buy, the service history in the Carfax report is very thin on details. Damage to the right rear is reported in December 2003 but no further details. It has optional 17” forged alloy wheels mounted with all-season tires. The exterior is Light Silver metallic, the interior has Sabre Black Valcona leather seats, a Premium package, and front and rear Parktronic. The 4.2L V8 was factory rated at 310HP/302 lb-ft when new and bolts to a 5-speed Tiptronic.
2016 Audi S5 Coupe (38,000 Miles)

This Glacier White metallic coupe has a surprise under its hood: Audi Club sponsor APR’s Stage 2 ECU tune now manages the supercharged 3.0L V6 to enhance your fun shifting the 6-speed manual. An optional Sport diff and quattro complete the drivetrain. The interior has black Fine Nappa leather seats with Chestnut Brown inserts and a Technology package. The other mods are APR’s air intake system, heat exchanger, and supercharger pulleys plus an AWE Tuning Touring cat-back exhaust and RS-style grille. Carfax reports two previous owners and no accidents or damage, but the seller notes a dent behind the right door, chips in the hood finish, scratches on the trunk lid, and scrapes on the underside of the splitter.
2005 Audi TT Coupe 3.2 (64,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This Light Silver metallic coupe has Ebony Nappa leather seats, a Bluetooth-equipped Pioneer head unit, and a broken latch for the first-aid compartment. It rides on Bilstein shocks and Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires installed in 2024. The 3.2L V6 (250HP/236 lb-ft) inhales through a K&N air filter and drives a 6-speed DSG. Please read the listing for recent drivetrain service. Carfax reports three owners and minor damage in November 2024 but no further details.
2001 Audi S4 (88,000 Miles)

Laser Red is easily one of Audi’s coolest color names and it looks great on this B5 sedan. It looks like it wears a Kamei grille given the badge. The black interior has Onyx Silk Nappa leather seats, Birdseye Maple wood trim, a CD/cassette stereo with Bose sound, an auto-dimming rearview mirror that needs replacement, an illuminated airbag warning light, and a headliner that’s sagging in the rear. The twin-turbo 2.7L V6 breathes through an aftermarket intake and out through an aftermarket exhaust. A 6-speed manual, Torsen center diff, and quattro complete the drivetrain. Carfax reports open recall #69CJ for the Driver Front Airbag Inflator, only two owners, and not many miles driven or service done since 2015.
2021 Audi RS 5 Sportback (23,500 Miles)

This Glacier White metallic sportback has complimenting Lunar Silver Nappa leather seats, center console trim, and arm rests in an otherwise black cabin. It’s well-optioned with Dynamic, Black Optic Carbon, RS Driver Assistance, Navigation, and Side Assist packages, dynamic steering, and black rings/badges. The 2.9L twin-turbo V6, Audi rated at 444HP/443 lb-ft, mates with an 8-speed Tiptronic. Carfax reports no accidents/damage but listing photo #74 shows something that didn’t come from the factory under the splitter.

The Sepang Blue pearl paint on this Prestige trim-level sedan really pops in the sunlight. It’s optioned with Black Optic, S6 Sport, and Driver Assistance packages and an Audi cargo mat for the trunk. The black interior has diamond-stitched leather seats, Birch wood trim, adaptive cruise control, and Bose sound. The seller reports that the suspension has been lowered but not how. The 4.0L twin-turbo V8 runs Audi Club sponsor APR’s Stage 1 ECU tune and pairs well with a 7-speed S tronic. Carfax reports three previous owners and no accidents or damage.
2021 Audi SQ8 (4,800 Miles)

A rarely seen (on Auction Watch) full-size sporty SUV is now on offer. The Orca Black metallic with Black Optic package exterior which wears Audi Club sponsor XPEL paint protection film on the front end and mirrors is contrasted by Arras Red leather heated and ventilated front seats. Also inside this Prestige trim-level car are a Driver Assistance Package, a dual-touchscreen MMI infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, and B&O Advanced 3D sound. The twin-turbo 4.0L V8, factory rated at 500HP/568 lb-ft, bolts to an 8-speed Tiptronic. The clean Carfax report lists only one owner and a good service history.
2012 Audi R8 Spyder (22,000 Miles)

This Audi Exclusive Suzuka Gray metallic drophead coupe is powered by a 4.2L V8 (420HP/317 lb-ft) that spins a 6-speed manual gearbox. It has a black soft top and black interior. The options list includes LED headlights, Carbon Sigma interior inlays and exterior mirror caps, a very scratched Audi Navigation system, screen, Convenience and Leather packages, illuminated door sills, and B&O sound. Carfax reports four previous owners, an interesting auction/sale/auction/sale sequence in owner #2 timeframe, and no accidents or damage.
2021 Audi RS 5 Coupe (8,000 Miles)

This coupe is finished in Sonoma Green metallic with Black Optic Carbon package over a black interior with black Nappa leather seats with Rock Gray stitching, carbon fiber trim, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, an Audi MMI Touch infotainment with navigation, and B&O sound. The twin-turbo 2.9L V6, Audi rated at 444HP/442 lb-ft, pairs with a ZF-sourced 8-speed Tiptronic and Sport diff. Carfax reports three previous owners and no accidents or damage.
2008 Audi RS 4 (129,000 Miles)

This fast sedan is Phantom Black pearl with a Titanium package over black Nappa leather seats, Piano Black trim, Audi Navigation Plus, and Bose sound. The 4.2L V8 (420HP/317 lb-ft) had carbon cleaning and JHM intake manifold spacers installed in 2019, at which time engine mounts were replaced. A replacement 6-speed manual with a South Bend stage 3 clutch was installed with an 034Motorsport mount in 2019. The Dynamic Ride Control fluid was also changed in 2019. Carfax reports four previous owners and no accidents or damage, but the listing states 53k miles were added under current ownership out of sync with the Carfax usage data.
2001 Audi S4 (109,500 Miles)

This is an unmodified B5 S4, that’s right—all OEM other than serviced items, see the listing’s Recent Service History for details. The exterior is Brilliant Black and it shows the miles and years on the front end. The black interior has leather seats, wood trim, some dead display pixels, Bose sound, and a sagging headliner but it’s not pictured. The 2.7L twin-turbo V6, was Audi rated at 250HP/258 lb-ft when new and it spins a a 6-speed manual. Carfax reports three previous owners and no accidents or damage.
2004 Audi TT Coupe (47,000 Miles)

No Reserve. The clearcoat on this Brilliant Red coupe was redone by the selling dealer on the roof and right fender, and blemishes are noted. The interior has Ebony Nappa leather seats, an Audi Concert AM/FM/CD stereo with Bose sound, dead pixels in the center display, and a broken rear storage lid latch. The turbocharged 1.8L I4, factory rated at 180HP/173 lb-ft when new, pairs with a 6-speed automatic to drive only the front wheels. Carfax reports four previous owners coast-to-coast and no accidents or damage, but the right taillight is cracked and both taillights appear to have inconsistent gaps (see listing photos #40-41).
2010 Audi S5 Coupe (71,000 Miles)

This early B8 S5 is powered by a 4.2L V8, Audi rated at 354HP/325 lb-ft, which bolts to a 6-speed Tiptronic. The listing states it’s a single-family owned car. It’s painted Quartz Gray metallic over a black cabin that features Tuscan Brown Nappa leather seats, center console lid, and door panels. Also inside are Carbon Atlas trim, Audi Advanced Key, Audi MMI infotainment with Navigation Plus, and B&O sound. The Carfax report is clean.
2012 Audi R8 V10 Coupe (33,000 Miles)

This very shiny Type 42 coupe is Daytona Gray pearl and the exterior has Suntek paint protection film and ceramic coating. Mods include Global Motorsport Group lowering spring kit and a cat-back sport exhaust for the 5.2L V10 (525HP/391 lb-ft). A 6-speed R tronic and quattro complete the drivetrain. The windows have also been tinted, including the windshield, to keep the black leather interior cooler. The sale includes a transferable 4-year warranty from American Car Protect. Carfax reports minor damage to the front and rear in September 2024. The seller notes there was slight damage to the rear bumper that was resolved with replacement of some trim.
1983 Audi quattro (105,000 Miles)

When I first saw this Mars Red Ur quattro my first thought was it was The Red Devil back again, then I looked more carefully. Although this is 1 of about 664 for the US market and this one had work done in preparation for the sale. Please read the listing and look at all its photos for details. The seats are black leather and the cabin has A/C, a sunroof, and a cassette stereo. The turbocharged 2.2L I5 had its timing belt replaced in 2001, after which the car is said to have been parked until 2011. The accident/damage-free Carfax report lists some items serviced as well. A 5-speed manual and, of course, quattro with vacuum-operated center and rear differential locks complete the drivetrain.
