Audi Club Auction Watch: 07.24.2025

Hello again Audi aficionados! Thank you for clicking on another edition of Auction Watch where we’ve done the internet searching for you. We’ve checked multiple car auction sites looking for Audi models worthy of your bids. Typically each Thursday we post those listings calling out a car’s highlights and include a few pictures and a link to the listing. Our goal is to help you find the Audi that you’re looking for in time for you to bid on it.
Last week I ended on a high note with an RS 4 Avant imported from France that sold for $72,000. This week we pick right back up on that theme with an RS 2 Avant whose auction ends today so check it out fast if interested! In fact, the first seven listings all end today so scroll on down quickly.
But what’s cooler than an RS 2 Avant? The very special 1982 Ur quattro formerly owned by John Buffum that’s pictured above. With Pikes Peak still in our rearview mirrors the timing of this car coming to market couldn’t be better. NOTE: the small photos from this car on down are ‘clickable’ to see enlarged.
Besides those two choice cars, on offer this week are a 2010 R8 V10 with a 6-speed manual, a low mileage 2018 R8 V10 plus Spyder, and even lower mileage 2022 RS 6 Avant, a 2014 RS 5 Cabriolet, a 2012 TT RS, and two modified rides with the DAZA inline-five are a 2019 TT RS and a 2018 RS 3. There are two B8 S5 Coupes listed, one with cosmetic mods, the other is also dressed up and Stage 2 hopped up, and also a B8.5 with an APR Stage 1 tune. Still sporty and unmodified options are a very nice 2001 TT Roadster, a potentially collectable 2004 TT Roadster, and a 2016 S3. But for practicality there are two Q7s and three A-series sedans. A 2013 A8 L which last sold at auction in early June 2025. The cars & bids no reserve auction on this Phantom Black Audi Flagship with 111k miles on its twin-turbo 4.0L engine ends today, 07.24.2025, at 2:02 PM EDT.
A 2011 Q7 TDI which last sold at auction in early July. Now on BaT, this Orca Black SUV has 85k miles and looks ready-ish for overlanding with its roof platform, retractable awning, and yellow LED lightbar. Though it lacks tires and perhaps suspension mods to get seriously muddy. The no reserve auction ends 07.25.2025 at 5:07 PM EDT.
2019 Audi TT RS (16,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction end early this PM! This Nardo Gray pocket rocket is just that, its 2.5L turbocharged I5 has been treated to Audi Club sponsor APR’s air intake, Stage 2 ECU tune, intercooler, flex fuel kit, and test pipes. Please read the listing for even more mods. OEM equipment includes Technology, Black Optic, and Dynamic packages. The black interior has Fine Nappa leather seats with red RS Design package, except in the rear where a rear seat-delete carbon fiber brace is now in place. The rear seat is included in the sale. Carfax reports three owners and no accidents or damage.
1994 Audi RS 2 Avant (208,000 Kilometers)

Bid quickly, auction end early this PM! This fast avant is finished in Volcano Black Mica, the selling dealer repainted the bumper covers, mirror caps, and rear hatch due to scratches, and various other touch-ups were performed in February 2020. The black interior has leather heated Recaro front bucket seats and rear bench, carbon fiber trim, contrasting white instrument dials, and a Bluetooth JVC head unit. The 2.2L ADU I5 was factory rated 311HP/302 lb-ft when new and spins a 6-speed manual transaxle with Torsen center diff. Please read the listing for service done to refresh the engine. The car comes with service records, French-language owner’s manuals, two keys with remotes, and a clean New York title.
2016 Audi S3 (96,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction end mid-PM today! No Reserve. We don’t see too many S3s on Auction Watch. This Mythos Black metallic on black example has Technology and S Sport Seat packages, and sadly its exterior reflects the mileage and years with paint chips and fading on the roof. Its 2.0L turbocharged I4 is Audi rated at 292HP/280 lb-ft and pairs with a 6-speed automatic. Carfax reports minor damage in November 2019 but no further details.
2021 Audi A4 (65,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction end mid-PM today! The Mythos Black metallic finish on this 4-series sedan looks much better than the one above. The car is an S line, Premium Plus trim-level with Navigation and Convenience packages in its black interior which has Okapi Brown leather seats, gray wood trim, and B&O sound. The 2.0L turbocharged I4, rated at 261HP/273 lb-ft, connects to a 7-speed S tronic. Carfax reports no accidents or damage.
2001 Audi A6 4.2 (114,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction end mid-PM today! No Reserve. This classic Audi is finished in Casablanca White over a Cabernet Mélange and Light Beige interior with a Premium Package, Nappa leather seats, wood trim, and a 6-CD changer with Bose sound. It also has dead pixels in the center gauge cluster (see photo #40) and other flaws, please read the listing’s Known Flaws for details. The 4.2L V8, rated at 300HP/295 lb-ft when new, bolts to a 5-speed Tiptronic. Carfax reports minor damage to the front in July 2016. The seller notes that a dirt devil (pretty sure they mean dust devil) hit the front thus all glass and plastics were replaced and front facing metal was repainted.
2011 Audi S5 Coupe (61,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction end late-PM today! This Phantom Black pearl 2-door doesn’t just have Rieger RS 5-style exterior trim and front grille, its 3.0L supercharged V6 now runs Audi Club sponsor APR’s Stage 2 ECU tune and wears an AWE Tuning air intake, downpipes, and exhaust. Please read the listing for more mods. The black interior has Nappa leather S Sport seats and other goodies from the Prestige package. The Carfax is clean but the seller notes damage to the driver’s side front fender and headlight, the hood, and the front bumper, prior to their purchase in August 2015, after another motor vehicle backed into it.
2001 Audi TT Roadster 225 (34,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This Lake Silver metallic Mark I, while it has a few flaws, is still one of the nicest we’ve seen on Auction Watch. The power black soft top covers an Ebony interior with leather seats, an Audi Concert cassette stereo with Bose sound, what looks like fully alive pixels in the center display, but the retractable wind deflector doesn’t rise fully (see listing photos 84-87). The turbocharged 1.8L I4 (225HP/207 lb-ft) had its timing belt, tensioner, and water pump replaced in 2022 and spins a 6-speed manual. Carfax reports only two owners and no accidents or damage.
2018 Audi RS 3 (4,000 Miles)

The Daytona Gray pearl with Black Optics exterior hides a turbocharged 2.5L I5 modified with Audi Club sponsor Unitronic’s Stage 1+ ECU tune, CTS midpipes, Audi Club sponsor iE carbon fiber intake, and an Iroz DSG catch can. The 7-speed S tronic shifts to a Unitronic Stage 2 TCU tune. The chassis rolls on WedsSport TC105X wheels and the OEM wheels come with the sale. The black interior has Nappa leather seats with Crescendo Red diamond-quilted stitching, RS carbon decorative inlays, MMI Navigation Plus infotainment, and B&O sound. Carfax reports no accidents or damage but there’s an open recall, #69BY, for the Passenger Occupant Detection System.
2012 Audi TT RS (8,000 Miles)

This Misano Red pearl fast coupe last sold on BaT in July 2023 for $68k USD. Since then it has done about 3k more miles. The black interior has Nappa leather seats with contrasting white stitching, Bose sound, and an AUTO-VOX rearview camera with a dashboard-mounted screen. The turbocharged 2.5L I5 was rated at 360HP/343 lb-ft when new and spins a 6-speed manual. Carfax reports minor damage in May 2024 but no further details, paintless dent repair is said to have been performed on the right fender. A True360 inspection report (see link in the Carfax) found no damage.
2008 Audi S5 Coupe (35,000 Miles)

This first-year S5 got around a lot without gathering very many miles. It was delivered in NYC, registered in FL, Quebec, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and now in Ontario where it’s being sold. The exterior is Ibis White; the black interior has Mustang Brown leather seats and a Technology package. It rolls on 20” Caterina wheels shod in 2015 date-coded tires. Other mods are an RS-style grille and an aftermarket intake for the 4.2L V8 (354HP/325 lb-ft). A 6-speed manual and quattro complete the drivetrain. The long but uninformative Carfax report lists no accidents or damage.

First, if you don’t know who John Buffum is see quattro Magazine Q3_2022, page 42. This car has Audi provenance as cool as its Mars Red paint color. Next, read the entire listing and look at every one of the 270 photos, #253-256 have more details on John and #257 had more details on the car’s background. Now register to bid on BaT and even if you don’t intend to buy this beauty you can at least say you bid on it. Finally, red cars are faster!
2008 Audi Q7 4.2 (43,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This full-size SUV is powered by a 4.2L V8, factory rated at 350HP/325 lb-ft, that’s mated to a 6-speed Tiptronic. It’s listed as black over a black interior with three row leather seating, Audi MMI Navigation infotainment, and a CD stereo with Bose sound. It rolls on very shiny 20″ split-spoke alloy wheels wearing Wildpeak A/T Trail tires. Carfax reports only two previous owners and no accidents or damage.
2010 Audi R8 V10 Coupe (25,000 Miles)

The seller bought this Ice Silver metallic Audi halo car off BaT in early September 2022 for $128k USD. Since then its logged about 3k miles and had its ppf replaced in March 2025. The black interior has red leather seats and door panels. Mods include a STaSIS exhaust and ECU tune for the 5.2L V10, 18″ HRE RC103 wheels, RS-style grille, and an integrated Passport radar and laser detector. A 6-speed manual and quattro complete the drivetrain. The Carfax report is clean through five owners.
2016 Audi S5 Coupe (70,000 Miles)

This Brilliant Black with Black Optics B8.5 coupe is powered by a 3.0L supercharged V6 that runs Audi Club sponsor APR’s Stage 1 ECU tune. A 7-speed S tronic, optional Sport diff, and quattro complete the drivetrain. The black interior has leather/Alcantara seats, layered black wood/aluminum inlays, a Technology package, and B&O sound. Carfax reports three owners and minor damage to the right front and front in March 2018 from an accident with another motor vehicle. The report is also very thin on service entries.
2004 Audi TT Roadster 225 (3,400 Miles)

No Reserve. This Dolomite Gray pearl with black power soft top may be considered a ‘collectable’ with so few miles and its condition. The selling dealer did put new tires on it though so it’s not completely original. The Ebony interior has leather seats with the Baseball Optic stitching more commonly seen on Amber Red seats and has Bose sound. The turbocharged 1.8L I4 (225HP/207 lb-ft) spins a 6-speed manual. Of course the Carfax report is clean and reports only two owners, the original buyer and the selling dealer.
2013 Audi A6 (160,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Need a new daily that can take you through winter? This Dakota Gray metallic sedan has high mileage but it also comes with a set of Bridgestone Blizzak WS90 winter tires and appears well-maintained. The interior is Velvet Beige with heated and ventilated leather front seats, heated rear seats, and an Innovation Package. The supercharged 3.0L V6 runs Audi Club sponsor APR’s Stage 1 ECU tune, please read the listing for recent service. An 8-speed Tiptronic and quattro complete the drivetrain. Carfax reports minor damage to the rear in November 2017 and damage again in September 2022.
2018 Audi R8 V10 plus Spyder (15,000 Miles)

This low-mileage drophead coupe is Ibis White with a black soft top. The black full-leather interior has the Sport seat package with Express Red contrasting stitching and B&O sound. Other options include a 20” wheel package and dynamic steering. In plus-spec the 5.2L V10 is Audi rated at 602HP/413 lb-ft and it pairs well with a 7-speed S tronic. Carfax reports minor damage in January 2021 but no further details.
2022 Audi RS 6 Avant (7,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This Ultra Blue metallic over Cognac long roof was purchased off BaT by the seller in mid-June 2024 for $113k USD. Since then its logged about 3k miles. The listing’s low-res photos don’t do this color justice and paint-protection film is applied to the front end, rockers, and rear bumper cover. The Valcona leather interior has an Executive Package and B&O Advanced 3D sound. The twin-turbo 4.0L V8 with 48-volt mild-hybrid system is factory rated at 591HP/590 lb-ft, exhales into an optional sport exhaust, and connects to an 8-speed Tiptronic. The accident/damage-free Carfax lists three owners.
2014 Audi RS 5 Cabriolet (72,000 Miles)

For a change, this Phantom Black pearl paint looks like Moonlight Blue to me, but it covers this droptop just fine. It’s equipped with Black Optic, Audi MMI Navigation Plus, Driver Assist, and Comfort packages. The black interior has perforated Milano leather Comfort seats with neck-level heating. The 4.2L V8, Audi rated at 450HP/317 lb-ft, sends its power to a 7-speed S tronic and the quattro drive Sport diff. Carfax reports minor damage to the rear following a rear-end collision in September 2024 and it’s been looking for a good home since then.
