Audi Club Auction Watch: 05.15.2025

Hello again Audi aficionados! Thank you for clicking on another edition of Auction Watch where we’ve done the internet searching for you. We’ve checked multiple car auction sites looking for Audi models worthy of your bids. Typically each Thursday we post those listings calling out a car’s highlights and include a few pictures and a link to the listing. Our goal is to help you find the Audi that you’re looking for in time for you to bid on it.
To borrow and adapt a phrase used by commentators on Mecum Auctions, it’s R8 o’clock this week on Auction Watch with two crossing the Mecum’s auction block on Friday and three on BaT. If you’re interested in bidding on the Mecum lots you must register with them ASAP. It’s also TT o’clock. There are three Mark I models, all with no reserve, and a Mark III to choose from. If the A4 used to be Audi’s bread-n-butter retail car, the S4 is the on-line auction world’s now as there always seems to be at least one listing each week in either avant or sedan body style. This week there’s a B5 generation S4 sedan with a bunch of mods and miles, a B7 S4 Avant, and a B9 sedan. Also with a bunch of mods is an S6 Avant from the same timeframe. Rounding out this week’s listings are a relisted A4 Allroad, an S5 Coupe, and an RS 6 Avant performance edition with only 505 miles on the odometer. Thanks for reading!

Bring a Trailer – 2004 TT Coupe 3.2. This fixed head coupe is Lake Silver over Ebony. It sold for $18,250 on BaT on August 19, 2024. It has only driven about 1k miles since then, please read the listing about serviced items since purchase including adding DLI Teknik motor mounts which “introduced vibration”. It’s listed with no reserve and the auction ends 05.19.2025 1:17 PM EDT.
cars & bids – 2017 A4 Allroad. A Gotland Green over Nougat Brown long roof that sold on c&b for $24,250 on March 6, 2024, is back again. It now has almost 90k miles on the odometer. 2001 Audi TT Roadster 225 (70,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction ends early this PM! No Reserve. Triple green: Desert Green pearl, a green soft top, and Desert Grass leather seats. The interior has some upholstery damage, a broken lock for a storage bin, and some dead pixels in the instrument cluster’s central display. The turbocharged 1.8L I4 was factory rated at 225HP/207 lb-ft when new. A sticker in the engine bay indicates the timing belt was replaced in January 2021. The spark plugs, serpentine belt, and engine oil were replaced in February 2025. Carfax reports five owners and accident damage in July 2008 but no further details. The plastic front underbody cover is missing.
2019 Audi TTS Coupe (52,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction ends mid-PM today! From a Mark I to a Mythos Black metallic Mark III. It emulates a TT RS as it is equipped with a Competition package that adds a rear wing, 20” wheels, red brake calipers, high-gloss black exterior trim, carbon fiber inlays, and a leather/Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker. To go one step further, the 2.0L I4 now runs Audi Club North America sponsor Unitronic’s Stage 1 ECU and TCU tunes. That enhanced power flow to a 7-speed S tronic. Remaining mods are Memphis Audio door speakers and tinted windows. Carfax reports minor to moderate damage to the front in June 2020 but see also the TRUE360 Report linked to in the Carfax 07/26/2023 entry which lists “Very Minor Cosmetic Repairs” to the front bumper cover and left fender.
2002 Audi TT Roadster 225 (98,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Back to a Mark I TT here with an Amulet Red roadster with a black soft top. The black interior has leather seats, some dead pixels in the center display, a Kenwood Bluetooth-capable head unit, and Bose sound. The 1.8L turbocharged I4, Audi rated at 225HP/207 lb-ft when new, inhales through a CTS Turbo cold-air intake, has a CTS diverter valve, and pairs with a 6-speed manual actuated by a Diesel Geek short shifter. Carfax reports an accident in April 2008 resulting in damage to the left side. The seller reports that the driver’s door was repaired and repainted as a result. Rear defroster wires are also disconnected.
2012 Audi R8 V10 Spyder (25,000 Miles)

It’s another low-mileage R8 Spyder and the bidding went to $100k with the second bid. It’s Daytona Gray pearl with a black soft top over an interior featuring a black enhanced leather package with red stitching, carbon Sigma inlays and door sills, white instrument cluster, and a perforated leather Sport steering wheel. The other major option is carbon ceramic brakes. The 5.2L V10 (525HP/391-lb-ft) exhales into a Tubi Style valved exhaust and spins the desirable 6-speed manual. Please read the comments section for more info on engine service performed that’s not reflected in the clean Carfax report.
2021 Audi R8 Performance Coupe (2,100 Miles)
Mecum Auctions – 05.16.2025 Lot F281
No Reserve. This model 4S edition of Audi’s halo car is finished in Daytona Gray pearl with a carbon exterior package. The black interior has blue diamond-pattern contrast stitching on the seats, and blue stitching on the center console and doors; also an Alcantara headliner with diamond stitching. The 5.2L V10 in performance-spec is rated 602HP and that power is sent to a 7-speed S tronic. No free Carfax is provided but I did a VIN look-up to determine it is a performance model.
2014 Audi R8 V10 Spyder (5,300 Miles)
Mecum Auctions – 05.16.2025 Lot F309
This Type 42 halo car is painted Sepang Blue paint with a black soft top over a black interior with a diamond-stitch full leather package and carbon fiber trim. The 5.2L V10, Audi rated at 525HP/391 lb-ft, pairs with a 6-speed manual. No free Carfax is provided.
2001 Audi S4 (162,000 Miles)

No Reserve. As often seen, here’s a B5 gen S4 with a large number of mods. The color is period-popular Light Silver metallic over a black interior with leather seats, B&M short-throw shifter, and Bose sound linked to a JVC CD/media head unit with USB input. The keyless entry function doesn’t work and the headliner is sagging (see picture 58). Please read the listing for all the mods details, the drama in 2011 that isn’t listed in the Carfax report, and the flaws of which there are a few. Carfax reports an open recall #69CJ for the Driver Front Airbag Inflator.

No Reserve. It’s so hard to appreciate Panther Black Crystal Effect’s purple hue in photos so please browse the listing’s gallery to look for it. The black interior has leather/Alcantara seats, carbon Sigma trim, Audi Parking System Plus with a rearview camera, B&O sound, and illuminated R8-branded door sill guards have been added. The 4.2L V8 (430HP/317 lb-ft) is surrounded by carbon fiber trim added in March 2025, exhales into a Tubi Style Rumore exhaust, and pairs well with a 7-speed S tronic. Two spare sets of double-spoke wheels, two car covers, manufacturer’s literature, service records, plus the OEM exhaust and engine bay trim are included in the sale. The Carfax report is clean but the seller notes a chip in the windshield (photos 47-49) and a scratch on the rear bumper cover (photos 50-52).
2002 Audi S6 Avant (109,000 Miles)

Another Light Silver metallic finish, this time over a full-size long roof. The Ebony interior has Seiden Nappa leather seats, heated front and rear, wood trim, an aftermarket shift knob and boot for the 6-speed manual swap, Bose sound, and some noted wear. Please read the listing for the many mods that are highlighted by a custom ECU tune for 91 octane and E85 fuel for the 4.2L V8, and a LUK B5 RS 4 clutch kit for the 6-speed manual. Carfax reports no accidents or damage but the seller notes a cracked windshield and that the wheels are bent, and a vibration is present around 55 to 60 miles-per-hour.
2018 Audi S4 (75,000 Miles)

This B9 generation S4 is painted Navarra Blue metallic which is over a black interior with contrasting Magma Red Fine Nappa leather seats and center arm rest, Carbon Atlas trim, a Cold Weather package, Audi MMI infotainment, navigation, and B&O sound. The turbocharged 3.0L V6, factory rated at 354HP/369 lb-ft, bolts to an 8-speed Tiptronic. The clean Carfax identifies one open recall, #74E3, for the Passenger Occupant Detection System. Applying Audi Club sponsor XPEL’s paint protection film would have helped prevent the apparently touched up rock chips on the hood in photos 60-62.
2008 Audi S4 Avant (69,000 Miles)

No Reserve. The stance of this Dolphin Gray long roof is your hint to the H&R lowering springs and Bilstein B8 dampers installed in January 2022. Please read the listing well for the service since 2021. The black interior has Silk Nappa leather Recaro front seats and heated rear seats, brushed aluminum trim, a Cobra radar detector, Audi Navigation Plus infotainment, and a 6-disc CD changer with Bose sound. Drivetrain: a 4.2L 40V V8 (340HP/302 lb-ft), 6-speed manual, and quattro a Torsen center diff. Carfax reports only two previous owners and no accidents or damage.
2012 Audi R8 V10 Spyder (18,000 Miles)

I can’t resist saying it, here’s yet another low-mileage 2012 R8 Spyder. Also in Sepang Blue pearl like the one above but this one has Nougat Brown leather seats and door panel inserts. Also under the black soft top are Piano Black trim, an infotainment system with Audi Navigation Plus, and B&O sound. The same spec 5.2L V10 here pairs with a 6-speed R tronic. Carfax reports four owners and no accidents, damage or recalls.
2012 Audi S5 Coupe (67,000 Miles)

This B8 S5 is powered by a N/A 4.2L V8 that Audi rated at 354HP/325 lb-ft. It bolts to a 6-speed Tiptronic and has a Sport diff. The exterior is Brilliant Black and the interior is also black with leather S Sport seats, Carbon Atlas trim, and Audi Parking System with rearview camera. The only mods are tinted windows and Akebono ceramic front brake pads. Please read the Known Flaws and Resent Service History sections of the listing if bidding. Carfax reports only two owners and no accidents or damage but the seller notes the passenger’s door was replaced after it was dented in a parking lot.
2024 Audi RS 6 Avant performance (505 Miles)

Someone decided to flip their new halo avant instead of driving it… their loss could be your gain. It’s loaded with a $148k+ MSRP. Nardo gray over black with a red RS Design package describes its looks, powerful pretty much covers the twin-turbo 4.0L V8 with the up-spec 621HP/627 lb-ft factory rating. Of course the Carfax is clean.
