Greetings Audi enthusiasts! I hope you had a good Easter and a nice spring break. Thank you for clicking on another edition of Auction Watch where we’ve done the internet searching for you. We’ve checked multiple car auction sites looking for Audi models worthy of your bids. Each Thursday we post those listings calling out a car’s highlights, and include a few pictures and a link to the listing. Our goal is to help you find the Audi that you’re looking for in time for you to bid on it. Without further ado, here is this week’s listing overview.
Using the same play we saw two weeks ago, the 2006 TT Roadster Special Edition (1 of 99 with only 860 miles) that didn’t sell on Bring a Trailer is now on Pcarmarket. Scroll on down for that listing and link. Then there’s the sad tale of a 2012 TT RS with a branded title. First it bid to $20,250 on Bring a Trailer, then only bid to $14,000 on Pcarmarket, and now it’s listed on cars & bids with no Reserve. I won’t provide summaries of cars with branded titles because at one time they were somebody else’s problem and I don’t want to see them become yours.
There are two particularly colorful cars in this week’s auction listings. First is an Audi Exclusive Solar Orange 2010 S4 that also listed 18 months ago so, if you missed it then, here’s another shot at it. Next is a satin Apple Green 2012 R8 Spyder. Ok, it is a wrap, but it has the wow-factor none the less. In addition to the TT roadster above, there are two more and a coupe listed this week. 2015 Audi RS 5 Coupe (66,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, this auction ends late-mid this PM! No Reserve. If the rings and badges were black on this Phantom Black pearl with a Black Optic package, tinted windows, and black-finished rotor wheels over a black interior it would be murdered out. Said black interior has Nappa leather seats, carbon fiber inlays, and an Audi MMI Navigation Plus package. The N/A 4.2L V8 and 7-speed S tronic drivetrain is enhanced with JH Motorsports Stage 2 ECU and TCU tunes. Carfax reports minor damage to the right side, right rear, and right front in September 2017 and paint damage underneath the front bumper and on the passenger-side rocker panel may be related to that. Also check the listing’s Known Flaws for a few more items to consider before bidding.
2012 Audi R8 V10 Coupe (19,000 Miles)

It is yet another low-mileage 2012 R8, this time in Ice Silver metallic but with something different than what the factory supplied: a 6-speed manual conversion done by Third Petal LLC in Birmingham, AL. There’s plenty of carbon fiber inside the black cabin and out too. A comment by the seller does a better job listing the cosmetic mods than does the listing’s description. The clean Carfax report lists one owner but this car has passed from dealer to dealer since October 2021.
2014 Audi SQ5 (118,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This could be a fast grocery-getter for a good price. The Ibis White paint is over a black interior leather sport seats, brushed aluminum trim, and B&O sound. The supercharged 3.0L V6 (354HP/346 lb-ft) had its PCV done (see pictured receipt) in March this year and it connects to an 8-speed Tiptronic. Carfax reports very minor damage to the front, left side, and left rear in December 2022 and minor damage to the front and rear in December 2018.
2022 Audi RS 6 Avant (14,000 Miles)

This Mythos Black metallic with a Carbon Optic package long roof has the popular Cognac leather seats in its roomy black interior. Options include Executive and Drivers Assistance package, B&O 3D Advanced sound, ceramic brakes with red calipers, dynamic ride control, and sport exhaust. Paint protection film is applied to the car’s front. Drivetrain is a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 plus 48-volt mild-hybrid system mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic. The Carfax report is clean.
2010 Audi S4 (25,000 Miles)

This apparently singular Solar Orange sedan for MY2010 sold on BaT in late September 2022 for $38,000. It logged about 6,000 miles since then but it also had a run-in with a deer causing minor damage to the front, left front, right front and right side with functional damage reported. The seller states the left headlight and front bumper cover were replaced as a result (see last picture in listing). The black interior has Silk Nappa leather seats with Tuscan Brown inserts and door panels, Prestige trim-level goodies, a new headliner, and is hardwired for a radar detector. The supercharged 3.0L V6 is spins a 6-speed manual that had its clutch, pressure plate and flywheel replaced in 2023.
2012 Audi R8 V10 Spyder (80,000 Miles)

Like green? The satin Apple Green color is a vinyl wrap (underneath is Phantom Black pearl) and the brake calipers are Kiwi Green. The mods don’t stop there though. The 5.2L V10 and 6-speed R tronic run VF Engineering ECU and TCU tunes, respectively. Please read the listing for many more mods. Carfax reports minor damage to the front, front right, and right side in July 2018 and there’s a Lemon Squad inspection report that notes wear inside and out consistent with age and mileage, and that tires will be needed soon.
2010 Audi A6 Avant (157,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This Ibis White long roof also has a list of mods you should read which are highlighted by the Unitronic Stage 1+ ECU tune now run by the supercharged 3.0L V6. Likewise it has wear-n-tear consistent with its age and mileage. Black leather S line front Sport seats were added to the black interior that came with Prestige trim-level niceties. The Carfax is accident/damage-free but there’s moisture in the passenger-side headlight, it has a cracked front underbody splash panel (see picture), and I’d ask about the low coolant level which may be a sign of PCV issues on this engine.
2014 Audi Q7 (21,000 Miles)

One owner, low mileage, but a mystery accident hangs over this Deep Black metallic SUV that has an S line Plus package and a black interior with heated/ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, third-row seats, Bose sound, and adaptive cruise control. Drivetrain: a supercharged 3.0L V6 (333HP/325 lb-ft) and an 8-speed Tiptronic. Carfax reports an accident that “likely occurred between December 2022 and February 2024” but no additional details are provided. Watch the listing’s comments for any explanation. The tires also have 2017 date codes and the rear bumper has an ugly ding.
2015 Audi A8 L TDI (103,000 Miles)

No Reserve. If you seek a budget luxury full-size car you can daily, this may be it. The Argus Brown metallic paint on the front bumper and leading edge of the hood are a perfect advertisement for why you should put XPEL on your Audi. The Velvet Beige interior with massaging/heated/ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, wood trim, head-up display, and Bose sound looks to be in good condition. The 3.0L turbodiesel (240HP/428 lb-ft) had the Dieselgate recall done in March 2018 and connects to an 8-speed Tiptronic. Damage to the front, left rear, and front again is listed in Carfax entries in 2016, 2019, and 2021, respectively.
2006 Audi TT Roadster 3.2 Special Edition (860 Miles)

This car is 1 of 99 made to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the first Isle of Man Tourist Trophy race. The mileage is not a typo and yes, you just saw this car on BaT last week where it bid to $28,860 but didn’t sell. The 3.2L VR6 engine is factory rated at 250HP/236 lb-ft and connects to a 6-speed DSG transaxle. The outside is Quartz Gray metallic with a black roof, the black interior has Amber Red leather seats with Baseball Optic stitching, Special Edition glovebox badging, and an Audi Concert CD stereo. The Carfax report is still clean.
2005 Audi TT Roadster (34,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This two-owner Mark I TT is finished in Light Silver metallic with a power-retractable black soft top over a black, driver-focused cabin with heated Ebony leather seats and an Audi Concert CD stereo with Bose sound. The turbocharged 1.8L I4 is Audi rated at 225HP/207 lb-ft and spins a 6-speed manual. Carfax reports no accidents or damage.
2001 Audi TT Coupe (67,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Put a proper roof on the TT above, double the mileage, and then add 4 years and you’ve got this car. The Ebony leather seats may be a bit more worn but engine service done in preparation for the sale included fluid exchanges and replacing the timing belt, water pump, and serpentine belt. Other than those differences, it’s basically the same spec TT right down to the Carfax.
2008 Audi TT Roadster (43,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Now take the roof back off the TT above…but there are many more changes as this a Mark II. The exterior is still Lake Silver metallic with a black soft top, but the interior is now predominately Limestone Gray with Nappa leather seats, an aftermarket touchscreen head unit (the removed Audi Navigation Plus head unit is included), and a Bose sound system. The engine is now a larger 2.0L turbocharged I4, factory rated at 200HP/207 lb-ft, and this one connects to 6-speed S tronic. Carfax reports three owners and no accidents or damage.
2014 Audi Q7 TDI (103,000 Miles)

This Prestige trim-level SUV is Daytona Gray pearl outside, black inside with ventilated leather front seats, walnut trim, and a panoramic sunroof. The trailer hitch will let you use the 406 lb-ft of torque produced by the 3.0L turbodiesel to good use. An 8-speed Tiptronic handles the gears shifts. Please read the listing for the Recent Service History. The clean Carfax report states two owners and a usage in California.
2011 Audi A4 (48,000 Miles)

No Reserve. I’m going to call this a sleeper. Performance mods to the turbocharged 2.0L I4 include an Integrated Engineering Stage 2 ECU tune, a STaSIS Engineering cat-back exhaust, Audi R8 “Red Top” ignition coil packs, an A4 3.0 TDI intercooler, and a Roc-Euro short shifter for the 6-speed manual. It’s painted Brilliant Black over a black interior with Premium Plus and 18” Sport packages. Please read the listing for the cosmetic mods. Carfax reports minor damage to the front in January 2016, the windshield is cracked, and the tires carry 2010 date codes.
