A visual recreation of the the 1987 Pikes Peak monster, Alex Kim’s tribute S1 E2 Pikes Peak isn’t a rebuild, it’s an evolution. It is an homage to Audi’s final form brought back to life with modern reliability hiding beneath period madness.

Although it seems virtually identical to the 1987 Pikes Peak monster – the proportions, the nose, the wing planes – this is the version built by someone who’s raced the mountain and has the scars to prove it.

“It will look one hundred percent absurd to anyone who doesn’t know Pikes Peak,” Kim says. “But it works.”

And on this mountain, that’s the only metric that matters…
