Find of the Day: 1-Owner B5 Audi S4 With Upgraded Turbos and No Reserve
This B5 Audi S4 turns 25 years old this year. And during that quarter of a century of driving only one owner accumulated all 177K miles. During that lengthy ownership history, this Audi has seen some extensive modifications. That includes a new engine and JH Motorsports RS6-R turbos. And now this sweet piece of Audi machinery is being offered with no reserve on Cars & Bids.
You could probably read War and Peace in the amount of time that it would take for you to read through the full list of modifications done on this Audi. But here are some of the highlights beyond the upgraded turbos: South Bend Stage 3 Endurance clutch, Autospeed 3-inch downpipes, Supersprint exhaust system, IPP small intercoolers, Walbro fuel pump, Bosch EV14 650cc fuel injectors, JH Motorsports limited-slip differential, 17-inch BBS CH wheels, Bilstein PSS9 coilover suspension and a ton more.
The original engine was replaced in February 2024. The replacement long block had about 146K miles on it when it was installed. Whether that gives you more or less confidence in the car is your decision. Another red flag is the fact that the car was in an accident in November 2020 and was declared a total loss. OK, so this is not going to be an investment car that will be worth millions someday. But it might be a car that is worth far more than just money. It can pay you in the memories that you would make behind the wheel of this machine. And isn’t that why you buy a performance car in the first place?
This is not going to be a car for everyone. There is some risk involved with this one. But the payoff could be a fantastic ownership experience in a car that didn’t cost all that much to buy. Bidding ends on Tuesday, January 27.
