Racing to End Alzheimer’s Returns to Laguna Seca in Audi RS 3 LMS

For Audi fans, this weekend’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge event at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca brings both nostalgia and renewed purpose. Racing to End Alzheimer’s is returning to its roots — and to the Audi RS 3 LMS — for a special anniversary appearance that rekindles one of the brand’s most heartfelt racing stories.
The team reunites with Monterey native and longtime Audi driver Nick Galante, who will pilot an Audi RS 3 LMS in the TCR class alongside Luke Rumburg for RVA Graphics Motorsports by Speed Syndicate. The car will wear a refreshed version of the organization’s signature “names” livery — a deeply personal tribute to loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
The return to Laguna Seca is more than symbolic. This historic track is where Racing to End Alzheimer’s first debuted in 2017, with Galante behind the wheel and the names of donors’ loved ones displayed across the car’s livery. That season marked the beginning of a racing initiative that has since raised over $1 million for Alzheimer’s care and research, while bringing awareness to the motorsports community.

Audi fans will remember the RS 3 LMS not only as a competitive force in the TCR class, but also as a platform for stories that transcend racing. With the return of Galante — a championship-winning driver and local favorite — and the continued presence of the Audi RS 3 LMS, the car represents both a legacy and a cause worth rallying behind.
While the primary Racing to End Alzheimer’s entry will compete in the GS class this season with a new Ford Mustang GT4 under Stephen Cameron Racing, the special Audi entry brings the program full circle — back to where it all began, with a familiar car and an unforgettable mission.
The two-hour Laguna Seca 120 for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge takes the green flag Saturday, May 10 at 12:45 p.m. PT. The race will be broadcast live in the U.S. on Peacock TV, and internationally on IMSA.tv and on IMSA’s YouTube channel – ad-free courtesy of Michelin.
