The 2018 Audi A3 has received the “Best Cars for the Money” award from U.S. News & World Report in the Luxury Small Cars category. Audi will receive the award at the Chicago Auto Show.

The “Best Cars for the Money” awards recognize vehicles that provide value and outstanding ownership experiences to consumers. Each award winner has a combination of top quality and value in their respective classes, tallied in a final score. Quality is measured by the overall score a vehicle earned in the rankings at the time the awards are determined, with cars ranked by safety, reliability and a consensus of industry experts’ opinions. Value is measured by a combination of a vehicle’s five-year total cost of ownership provided by Vincentric, LLC and the average price paid for the vehicle at the time the awards are decided, as calculated by TrueCar.

“The A3 highlights Audi expertise in design, technology and driving dynamics –qualities also seen in the brand’s full size luxury models – in an affordable premium compact vehicle,” said Filip Brabec, vice president of Product Management, Audi of America. “Having the A3 recognized as a ‘Best Car for the Money’ further cements our commitment to deliver the best in luxury and value to our customers.”

Editors from U.S. News and World Report praised the vehicle, noting “the A3 is a great car because it’s sporty, fuel-efficient and comes loaded with technology and upscale touches.” Editors were impressed by the heated front seats and two USB ports – standard in the 2018 A3 – in addition to optional advanced driver assistance features.

The A3 Sedan comes equipped with a 2.0 TFSI® quattro® all-wheel drive turbocharged four-cylinder engine with six-speed S tronic® dual-clutch automatic transmission. Additionally, the model line offers a host of standard premium features such as leather seating, power panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, xenon plus front lighting with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights.

The A3 also features advanced driver assistance systems including standard Audi pre sense front, and available features such as rear cross traffic assist, Audi virtual cockpit, MMI® touch and smartphone integration for compatible devices. Together with improvements in exterior and interior design, the A3 family vehicles continue to raise the bar in the premium compact segment.
