Volkswagen Previews Their Electric Compact With the ID. EVERY1 Concept
Volkswagen has unveiled the ID. EVERY1 concept, a compact electric vehicle designed to bring affordable EV mobility to a wider audience. Positioned as the spiritual successor to the e-up!, this concept offers a more spacious and practical design, measuring 152.7 inches in length. Built on VW’s MEB Entry platform, the ID. EVERY1 is intended as an entry-level model that balances cost and efficiency while maintaining the brand’s commitment to sustainability.

The vehicle is powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 94 horsepower, allowing for a top speed of 81 mph. It aims for a minimum range of 155 miles on a single charge, making it a practical option for city commuting and daily driving.

Volkswagen plans to bring the production version of the ID. EVERY1 to market in 2027, with a target starting price of approximately €20,000 ($21,300). This aligns with the company’s broader strategy to make EVs more accessible to a wider range of consumers, addressing one of the key barriers to electric vehicle adoption; affordability.

While details on battery capacity and potential performance upgrades are yet to be fully revealed, the concept signals VW’s focus on delivering budget-friendly electric mobility without compromising essential features. As the industry shifts towards widespread electrification, the ID. EVERY1 could play a crucial role in making EV ownership more mainstream. Volkswagen is just getting started, as they also plan to reveal production versions of ID.1, ID.2, and ID. GTI over the next few years.
