Vintage T-Shirt Offering Grows for Audi Club North America

by: George Achorn

When Audi Club North America launched its made-to-order TeePublic T-shirt store on Black Friday, we put the call out to chapters and members should they wish to contribute now-retired designs to the T-shirt archive project. First up to the plate is graphic artist Thompson Smith who was instrumental in event design for the North East Chapter.

Over the weekend, Thompson sent over several designs for events taking place in 1997 and 1998. Each feature some of enthusiasts’ favorite Audis from ur quattro and Sport quattro to the C4 “ur” S6 plus. These original designs were utilized for HPDE and hillclimb events at Lime Rock and Mount Washington, and one of them even features a hand-drawn pen and ink original by Mr. Smith.

We suspect these designs are particularly dear to members of the North East Chapter, but the graphic quality may likely have an even greater draw amongst those who are fans of these iconic Audi models.

See more on the Audi Club North America’s on-demand presence at TeePublic.com HERE. With these new designs, we’ve also partitioned out a collection specific to the NEQ Chapter, and of course all of these designs are part of that. The chapter album can be found HERE.
