B10 Audi RS 5 Avant Caught Testing in Sweden

The new Audi RS 5 Avant was spotted driving in Sweden going through some winter testing. The new B10 generation RS 5 is set to debut soon and join the previously revealed A5 & S5 Sedan and Avant variants.

The Avant variant is possibly the most anticipated model from the upcoming B10 generation RS 5, as it continues where the B9 RS 4 Avant left off, becoming Audi’s fifth generation of the sport compact Avant dating back to the original B5 RS 4 (or the sixth generation when considering the Audi RS 2 Avant).

The B10 RS 5 range is anticipated to utilize the next generation of the 2.9-liter biturbo V6 powertrain, but potentially paired with hybrid technology. As with previous Avant variants in this model family, it is unlikely that U.S. consumers will see an opportunity to purchase one, but this remains unconfirmed from Audi at this time.
