Next-Generation Audi A7 Avant Spied

With the development of Audi’s next-generation internal combustion C-segment offering continuing, test mules are beginning to pop up with more regularity in the areas around the brand’s southern Germany headquarters. The one you see here is a test mule of the Avant, set to be renamed A7 Avant. This particular A7 Avant mule was spied in the roads near the Nürburgring.

At the front we can see a wider grille than the current C8 A6/A7, and notably there’s not stacked light clusters as we’ve seen on other new models such as the Q6 e-tron and test mules of the A6 e-tron. Perhaps we can assume then that the stacked lights are reserved for EV and SUV models.

Also note the flush door handles on the bodywork of this A7. Of course, there are also exhaust pipes that reveal its internal combustion nature. Given it has pipes on both sides, we’re guessing it’s a larger engine A7.
