Sweepstakes quattro at The Amelia / Radwood Amelia Island

As show season begins to take hold, we took our 1985 Audi quattro 20V sweepstakes car to The Amelia Island Concours, where it took a featured position at Radwood Amelia Island. Though this particular quattro has been to shows like Carlisle and The Bridge with previous owners, this was its first time on display as Audi Club’s sweepstakes car, and it featured some of the upgrades we’ve been making to it in our time with the car.

The Amelia Island Concours is perhaps the foremost concours on the east coast. Now part of Hagerty, it’s taken on a new more progressive tone including embracing so-called  “young timer” vehicles like our quattro. This includes its own hosting of Radwood Amelia Island. Radwood is the pre-eminent 80s/90s car show, which is where our 1985 quattro is right at home.

With so many people in one place who appreciate 80s icons like the quattro, it’s no surprise the quattro made a lot of friends. Many members and Audi fans attending were also excited to see the car in person, and of course enter for their chance to win the car.
