The X-Bow GT-XR takes on the Nürburgring!

Remember the shot from the last winter test season when we shot the KTM X-Bow GT-XR while playing on an ice track? Well now it’s back and this time on the Nürburgring. But with a wet Nürburgring, the feeling could be the same.

The GT-XR is the road going version of the GT2 and is most likely set for a debut soon. The road going version will also run the Audi five-cylinder engine known from the RS 3. In the racing version of the GT2, it delivers 600 horsepower, but as for now we don’t know how much power the road going version will have. Will the road going car offer the same performance from that rear-mounted five-pot?

The power will go to the rear wheels via a seven speed direct shift gearbox and with that low weight, the car is expected to have, this sounds like a recipe for great fun. The racing GT2 weights about 1000 kg and the road going version will most likely add a few kilograms to that depending on some safety parts needed in order to make it street legal.
