Spy Photo: 2022 Audi A8 Facelift

It’s the New Year and that means it’s time for some new spy shots again. We start off with the first photos of the upcoming Audi A8 facelift.

And we spied not one but two prototypes out testing and even if they look pretty much the same, there are some small differences.

The facelifted Audi A8 will get some new head lights in “A3” style as we can see and also a new designed grille. The grille just doesn’t have new inserts but also has a slightly different shape.

We can see that both the front and rear bumper is covered and up front we can also see the different design. The rear bumper will only get minor changes.

And that’s where we see the small differences between the prototypes. The car with the HN-VW 692 plates is the plug-in hybrid version and we can see that it has the regular LED head lights compared to the Matrix LED that seems to be on the other car. There are also smaller changes to the design in the front bumper.

We don’t think that the interior will change too much but we can expect an updated infotainment system and also some updates on the safety systems.

Will there be any changes to the engines ? Well , at this point we don’t have any information about that but we can expect a longer electric range on the plug-in hybrid version and lower fuel consumption and less CO2 on the regular models.

Expect a debut in late 2021 as a 2022 model.
