This chassis is one of five built race cars that competed in the Speedvision GT World Challenge GT Series from 2001-2004. The Speedvision GT World Challenge was a very popular racing series on the Speed Channel back in the early 2000s. This Audi was chassis Nr.004 and was famously driven by Derek Bell from 2001-2002, Michael Galati in 2003 and Randy Post in 2004. The Nr. 003 chassis driven by Michael Galati from 2001-2002 won the Championship both consecutive seasons, beating out the NSX, Porsches, Corvettes, Mustangs and Vipers to name a few!

All five S4 Competition chassis were built in-house at Audi Sport UK by Richard Lloyd. The chassis were the same race spec that were used in the British Touring Car Championship A4s from the mid to late 1990s. The engine was developed in-house by Cosworth Technology during the time Volkswagen Audi Group owned them. The chassis were then sent to Champion Racing in Pompano Beach, FL for assembly and final race setup. They were ultimately campaigned by Champion Racing under the Audi Sport North America banner for four years.
