Rendering the RS 3 with Wheels

Looking for ways to kill time over this holiday non-work week? We were too, which got us to fantasizing about the Audi RS 3 sedan and some 20-inch wheel options for the car. The renderings turned out rather well which got us to wanting an RS 3 even more. We figured we’d share.

Wheel Option #1: Audi Sport performance parts
Audi Sport announced its line of performance parts
as early as last fall at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Thus far, they’ve only released product for the R8 and TT RS, though those willing to color outside the lines know that TT RS parts likely fit an RS 3. Consider us the color-outside-the-lines types, especially when those wheels are dead ringers for the ones also fitted on the RS 3 LMS TCR racer.

Wheel Option #2: R8 V10 plus black optic
Consider us inspired by H&R’s orange RS 3 from SEMA. H&R USA owner Roland Graef built that car rather minimalistically, simply lowering it, adding some carbon fiber bits and the aforementioned R8 wheels. Those who’ve tried this before know that you’ll need four front wheels from the R8’s staggered setup… unless of course you want to play with some sort of widebody kit and then perhaps the rear setup might be better. Regardless, we think this is one of Audi’s most handsome wheels, and going black optic is changing it up just enough that Roland can appreciate our inspiration from his lead rather than calling us full-fledged copycats.

Wheel Option #3: TT RS wheels
There’s no doubt that the TT RS wheel is a little polarizing. Some love it. Some hate it. We started out coolly on the wheel and have warmed up a lot more seeing it in person. Given it’s been growing on us, we were wondering what it might look like on a sedan. Fortunately, photoshop was an easy way to get a chance to consider it.
