Practically Undisguised Next-Gen Audi Q3 Test Mule Spied

Our spy photographers caught the next-generation Q3 testing again, though this time with practically no camouflage. The lack of disguise practically reveals the final design even though end of secrecy hasn’t occurred just yet.

Interestingly, the car appears to still have a wrap of black vinyl. It appears that it’s red underneath. Even with the wrap though, this is the first time we get a really good look at the split headlight design, or the design of the front and rear bumpers.

Another interesting detail is the red brake calipers. While we don’t see any exhausts that would give it away as an SQ3 or RS Q3, red calipers are typically for more sporting models. Perhaps though this is an addition to the Q3 S line… or perhaps it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

The wheels are also interesting in this regard. While they are standard fare on the SQ8 and SQ7 that could point to it, they’re also optional on lesser models.

Finally, it’ll be interesting to see if the Q3 takes on a greater level of importance in the USA where crossovers are quite popular. Could this all-new Q3 span an SQ3 or RS Q3? Time will tell.
