Continuing a 13 year tradition of supporting various charitable and service organizations, PCC-ACNA raised over $3700 through our auction/raffle held during our spring and fall VIR drivers’ schools and our Fall Charity Fun Run in 2013. 100% of the proceeds raised at these events were donated to So Others Might Eat (SOME), Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic, Fisher House, Danville Life Saving Crew, and UVA Neuroscience Department to support Parkinson’s Research.
Our fund-raising in 2013 was a less then what we have raised in previous years, but we are hoping to get the numbers up again in 2014. So, if you make it out to either of our VIR events, please bring a few extra dollars to participate in the auction/raffle and/or participate in our Fall Charity Fun Run and have a great day enjoying beautiful country roads and scenery, socializing with fellow members, and supporting a great cause.
