Candidates (alphabetical by last name):
Nicholas Flom
Experience
Event planning or logistics, marketing or communications, management or administration, IT
Tell the chapter about yourself
I’m Nick, I live in Aldie, VA and I drive a 2018 Audi RS3. This is my first Audi, but I already love the car and heritage. I was a founding member of another car club in 2014, which I left in 2015, and am an active member of a different car club since the beginning of 2020. I use my RS3 for road racing, under the team/group name Flom Motorsports. I am active on the forum Audizine, in addition to multiple Audi related Facebook groups, including the ACNA group.
How will the chapter benefit from your service?
I have experience in event planning and logistics, helping to have planned about a dozen various car events. I also have knowledge on how to use and implement various types of social media. I work in the IT cyber-security field for my day job, so I am well experienced there as well. If elected to the Board of Director, my main effort would be growing the club by reaching out to younger members, and trying to organize more track day events.

Sheri Palomaki
Experience
Event planning or logistics, marketing or communications, management or administration
Tell the chapter about yourself
My name is Sheri Palomaki and I’m a long-time Audi enthusiast, even though I grew up as an American muscle car fan.  I’ve owned a 2004 A4, a 2015 RS5, and currently own a 2008 A4 S-line, 2008 S5, and a 2019 Q8. Professionally, I’ve been in law firm management for 20 years, and currently manage all the people, processes, systems and marketing-related initiatives for an AmLaw 100 law firm.
How will the chapter benefit from your service?
I think I can help the Board with planning and executing events, marketing and building membership, as well as overall administration and management.

Chuck Taylor
Experience
Event planning or logistics, marketing or communications, other (professional journalism)
Tell the chapter about yourself
I grew up in a family of car aficionados… with a father who could name every make and model from the 1940s forward, and a brother who can take an engine apart and put it together again with his eyes closed. The vehicle obsession came late for me, since I lived in NYC for 18 years (thus, not driving). When the 2020 Audi Q8 hit the streets, I searched the entire East Coast for months until I found my dream Dragon Orange fully loaded “Oscar Audi.” And now, like my dad and bro, I am obsessed!
How will the chapter benefit from your service?
As a professional journalist for 30+ years, I can contribute beautiful words to the chapter’s mission… I’m a reporter, editor, writer and marketing guru, now the owner of my own wedding venue — my home — in Norfolk, VA (Wiseacre Estate)… I’ve worked with groups and organizations of all sizes & scope during my career… and believe in keeping things energized with new blood. I lived in NoVa for a decade (before NYC; 8 years now in Coastal Virginia), so Potomac-Chesapeake feels like home!

Nelson Velasco
Experience
Other (tech inspections & tech support)
Tell the chapter about yourself
I’m an Audi Technician with 17 years of experience working on Audi’s & VW’s only. Basically my job is my hobby. I’m happy to help the Audi Club community with anything I can.
How will the chapter benefit from your service?
I will help out with tech inspections, experience, suggestions and with anything I can.
