2013 Spring Fun Run

Thanks to Mother Nature’s cooperation everyone enjoyed  perfect spring weather for the 2013 Potomac Chesapeake Spring FunRun which took place on April 27, 2013. The Potomac Spring Fun Run has been on hiatus for the last few years, but 2013 has marked a new start.

Newcomer to our chapter but not to Audi or the Audi Club, Jackie Galiardi, did a tremendous job organizing the event and achieving a sell-out.  Thanks, and great job, Jackie!

Induktion Motorsport and Criswell Audi joined with Audi of America to host over 50 Audi enthusiasts on a driving  tour through Virginia and Maryland.

The kickoff at Audi of America Headquarters had great cars on display inside and outside! The red hot 2014 Audi R8 drew attention inside at the Audi Forum. Whilst outside, this photo from AoA on  Instagram (link) taken from the  staging area shows an S4, R8 and S8 all parked together. This post garnered over 5,000 hits in just the first 30 minutes and more than 25,000 during the event!

One of Maryland’s state mottos is “America in Miniature from the mountains to the seashore” , and this year’s Spring Fun Run lived up to that motto with over 30 Audis touring  the foothills in Urbana to the shores of the Chesapeake Bay including some thrill-inducing Quattro-worthy country roads in both states. The setting was complete with the idyllic scenery in horse country throughout the morning.

From the photo shoot where our sponsors Racing Car vied for attention with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge,  to the beach at Sandy Point State Park, to  lunch in historic Stevensville, MD, everyone young and old celebrated a great day with lots of fun and plenty of give-aways.

Our grand prize winner took home a gift certificate worth $400 from Induktion Motorsport.

We hope you get involved with Potomac Chapter and participate in our upcoming events, there is something for everyone!
