Peter Parker: Dude, Where’s My Audi?

Marvel Cinematic Universe and Audi has gone hand in hand for over a decade. From the OG Audi R8 in the OG Iron Man to the Audi e-tron in Spider-Man: Far From Home, MCU and Audi fans have seen the latest Audi in action on screen but that is changing…for Spider-Man at least. Recently, Hyundai announced that it has partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment and with that, Peter Parker loses his Audi.

The deal will feature Hyundai models in upcoming Sony Pictures films including Uncharted, the sequel to Spider-Man™: Far From Home , and the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Hyundai had already dipped their toes into the MCU when they introduced a Hyundai Kona Iron Man Edition.

“This strategic partnership with Sony Pictures will allow customers to understand and experience our  human-centered future mobility vision through innovative vehicles and technologies, illuminating a way forward for transforming how we move, interact, and design our lives for optimal benefits. We will offer various ways to inspire our customers and movie fans around the globe,” said Wonhong Cho, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Hyundai Motor.

This doesn’t mean that Audi is completely gone from the MCU though. While Spider-Man is a Marvel character, all the rights are owned by Sony. The other characters are still owned by Marvel and Disney. So long, Peter…
