Fall Tour – October 15th, 2022

Come join your fellow enthusiasts for a scenic and leisurely fall tour of the inner Cape Cod area. Starting near Plymouth Rock in downtown Plymouth, our route is just over 80 miles and will take us along Cape Cod Bay to Manomet Point, then along the coast to the Scusset Beach Reservation where we will stop to take in the views.

We will then cross over the Cape Cod canal and travel along the Buzzards Bay coast through Pocasset, North Falmouth, and Falmouth. then head north through several wildlife areas, ending at the Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich.

The remainder of the day will be spent at the Heritage Museum and Gardens in a self-guided format; the museum will be open until 5PM. The museum collections celebrate the culture, work, leisure, and life of people in southeastern New England, with emphasis on Cape Cod and the Islands. The Gardens offer 100 spectacular acres of trees and shrubs, designed gardens, exquisite flowers and sweeping lawns and are a delight any time of year.

But wait: there’s more! The Museum’s American Automobile Collection features 42 outstanding cars, from a 1899 Winton through beautiful examples produced by Cord, Packard and Auburn, to a 1965 Ford Country Squire station wagon. Fall Tour Registration, limited to 15 cars, is $30.00 per person, which includes Museum admission and lunch. Registration closes at midnight October 13, with no cancellation refunds honored after that deadline.  If needed, a wait list will be maintained through that date. The starting location for the tour will be provided in the registration information. Check-in will open at 9:45 AM with departure at 10:30 AM sharp.
