Over the past few years we have had numerous requests for a tech session aimed at non-gearhead drivers who want to know more about basic auto care considerations and upkeep. Whether you’re a newly licensed teen or an old hand at car ownership, if you want to get back to the basics of routine car care and on-the-road preparedness, this one’s for you!
As part of this session, we have arranged with Audi Nashua to lend us an experienced mechanic to devote two hours of time to go through a typical multipoint inspection of an Audi model up on a lift. Other car models will likely have many similar components. Ask questions! (Hint: it may be helpful to prepare your questions in advance.)
The goal of this dynamic session is to help familiarize drivers with just about any situation that may arise in the operation or repair of an auto. Some worn out parts will be shown along with an explanation of why they were replaced. Typical routine maintenance will also be covered.
The tech session will start at 9 AM on Saturday, August 13, at Audi Nashua. Please try to arrive a little early to schmooze and partake of refreshments so we can start on time. In case the service bays are not available, Audi has a repair facility in nearby Hudson; any such change of venue will be communicated to participants.
The event fee is $15.00 per person, with a limit of twenty people. Registration via MSR will be open by July 6 and closes at 11 PM August 11. A wait list will be maintained and cancellations prior to the registration deadline will be refunded. Audi Nashua is at 170 Main Dunstable Rd, Nashua, NH, immediately off exit 5E from Route 3 (Everette Turnpike) northbound.
