2018 Annual Meeting

The 2018 NAAC annual meeting was hosted by your Board of Directors March 17 at Moonstones in Chelmsford, MA. Highlights included a review by club president William Ellis of last year’s events (successful, except for the 2017 Winter Driving Schools, canceled due to conditions), a review of club finances (we’re in good shape), and changes at the national level (new leadership and an integration of chapter websites into the ACNA website).

NAAC President William Ellis makes a point.

William then presented the tally of member votes for the three open board positions. Faviana Olivier, Mike Collier and William Ellis were all unanimously re-elected for three-year terms. The Board then elected officers for 2018: President William Ellis, Vice-President Mike Collier, and Treasurer Buddy Gregory will stay in those positions. Bailey Bishop was elected to replace Charlie Learoyd, who, per the by-laws, had to step down as Secretary after three years.

The board also voted to appoint Gerry DiBello to fill the remaining two years of the board position vacated last year through resignation. Gerry, an Air Force veteran and retired technologist, has owned eight VW/Audi products over the years, currently a 2018 A3 which his wife occasionally lets him drive. Gerry brings a lot of experience with volunteer organizations, including stints as newsletter editor (hmmmm…..Ed).

And a shameless plug: the board works hard to keep NAAC operating smoothly and to bring you interesting events. If you have the opportunity, a “thank-you” is always appreciated.
