Here, you’ll find a detailed description of all official events scheduled during Audi Club Nationals 2019. Enjoy your Audi enthusiast-tailored display in Washington, D.C. at these gatherings, though with so many scheduled you will have to choose just one in some cases.
10.16.2019, WEDNESDAY
3:30 PM – 6:30 PM – ON SITE GUEST REGISTRATION
When you arrive at Lansdowne Resort, make sure to check-in with Audi Club event staff located in the hotel lobby.

WELCOME RECEPTION
After your journey, whether near or far, enjoy a warm welcome and an opportunity to catch up with friends or make new ones while we kickoff Audi Club North America’s 35thAnniversary with a Welcome Reception on Lansdowne Resort’s Outdoor Terrace. The best part? A beautiful Virginia landscape accompanied by select Audi vehicles on display from Audi of America.
Guests will begin the evening at 6:30pm enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Upon the arrival of Tourist Trophy of America participants, we will kickoff the National Event with brief introductions from the Potomac Chesapeake Chapter. The reception will officially conclude at 9pm. However, the fun can continue at Lansdowne’s tavern, Coton & Rye.

ACTIVITY #1
U.S. Capitol Building Tour / International Spy Museum
No visit to Washington DC would be complete without a tour of the U.S. Capitol Building with a side of espionage and thrill mixed in at the International Spy Museum. The Tour begins by hearing the story of the U.S. Congress and the building of the Capitol featuring original and rarely seen documents and artifacts, videos, touchable models, and computer interactives at Exhibition Hall located in the Capitol Visitor Center. After taking in the grandeur of the U.S. Capitol Building, we shift to the only public museum in the United States solely dedicated to espionage, both domestically and internationally, and the all-but-invisible profession that has shaped history and continues to have a significant impact on world events. Audi Club members will enjoy lunch at The Monocle Restaurant, a short 5 minute walk from the U.S. Capitol Building, before heading to the International Spy Museum and going undercover to test their skills as an international spy. You don’t want to miss this unique opportunity to see and hear things you may have only read about, or did you?

ACTIVITY #2
Shakes ‘N Brakes Fun Run
Interested in an exciting and fun drive through Maryland’s curvy roads, hiking in the Washington Monument State Park, and topping it off with some great ice cream from the local creameries? Then be sure to join us in the historic Catoctin mountains. This 4-5 hour drive features a state park, great scenery with photo ops, covered bridges, lunch at one of the state parks, and most importantly, South Mountain creamery. We need the shakes to cool down the brakes! You won’t be disappointed!

8:45 AM: 3 Groups depart in 15 minute increments
12:20 PM – 1:45 PM: Lunch at Washington Monument State Park
2:15 PM: Arrive at South Mountain Creamery for dessert

ACTIVITY #3
Annapolis Waterfront & Lunch
Members will begin their Annapolis adventure enjoying an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch featuring local favorites and beautiful Chesapeake Bay views at Sam’s on the Waterfront, one of the largest marinas in the area. After enjoying local cuisine, members will embark on a casual drive along the Bay Ridge Community providing breathtaking views of Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay. George Criswell then hosts Audi Club members at Audi Annapolis for a reception and respite prior to a short drive to downtown historic Annapolis. Members will have ample time to enjoy the history, food, shopping, sightseeing and “hanging out on the water” on their own.

*Members may take in a show at Rams Head on Stage, enjoy dinner in Annapolis, or return to Lansdowne. You will need to register separately for the evening dinner at Lansdowne as it is not included with this event.

Dinner with der German Chef
Lansdowne Resort and Spa prides itself in taking advantage of the bounty of the Virginia countryside as well as the abundance of fresh Chesapeake Bay seafood to awaken your culinary tastes. Chef Marcus Repp, who is not only German but owns an Audi SQ5, is the Director of Culinary Operations at Lansdowne. He is looking forward to preparing and joining you for a wonderful dining experience with such a captivating audience. Prost!

ACTIVITY #1
High-Performance Driving Event at Summit Point Motorsports Park
Join ACNA-PCC at our one-day private session at Summit Point Motorsports Park on their Main track. This track is newly paved with 10 challenging turns and 2 smooth miles of fast fun! Students receive classroom and in-car instruction by our highly-trained corp of instructors. Also, come out and see some of the new Audi TCR cars on track! Vendors such as New German Performance / NGP Racing will be on hand to provide upgrade advice or assistance at the track, and Audi of America may have something very interesting planned for us too!

ACTIVITY #2
Wine Pairing & Lunch Tour
October is Virginia Wine Month and we would be remiss to not take in this glorious opportunity to sample some of the best wines which embodies the essence of a region where tradition and revolution go hand in hand. Join us for a wine pairing lunch held at the Lansdowne Resort and Spa followed by wine tasting and tours at select local vineyards.

10:30 AM: Members join a Virginia Wine Sommelier for class at Lansdowne Resort

12:45 PM: Members split into two groups and head out to the vineyards

*Vineyards are currently being selected but choices will include panoramic views, award winning wines, and beautiful drives. We will provide an update to members once vineyards are selected.

V.I.P. HOSTED DINNER WITH AUDI OF AMERICA & GUEST HOSTS
Wind down after a long day of car indulgence with even more car indulgence. This relaxed dinner back at Lansdowne Resort will include large tables hosted by various Audi of America specialists and other parts manufacturer and tuner guest hosts. This is your opportunity to share a dinner with fellow Audi enthusiasts and mingle with Audi and tuner staff in a casual atmosphere.
Guests will begin at a predetermined table for the main dinner, and then will be invited to rotate to other tables for desert and coffee in order to allow others to visit various guest table hosts.
For those extra-eager to sit with a specific dinner host for the main dinner, a registration desk will be available outside the dinner area one hour earlier.

KATIE’S CARS & COFFEE
No trip to Northern Virginia is complete without experiencing the largest East Coast Cars & Coffee event. Audi Club members take a short drive (12 miles) to Great Falls, VA and experience what is a Saturday morning tradition in the local area. Let’s make this Audi Day at Katie’s.
From the Washington Post, “On a sunny Saturday morning, up to 400 cars show up at Katie’s. The show starts early – some owners start pulling in around 5am to snag the best spots – and is pretty much over by 9:30am, when the shopping center wakes up. It’s like getting a glimpse of an African watering hole where exotic animals come together briefly, then disperse to their native habitats.”

AUDI OKTOBER CONCOURS & VENDOR MARKT
Nothing says weekend like a car show, and this all-Audi gathering with Oktoberfest theme is open to Nationals week attendees plus any other Audi owners and enthusiasts who wish to participate. Cars on the field will range from privately owned Audi models, tuner cars and even a rich mix of Audi of America’s tradition collection of retired racecars and vintage classics. Prizes will be awarded, chosen democratically (Washington, DC after all) in a popular vote by attendees.
Other highlights include vendor displays, Oktoberfest style food and beverage celebration and more.

AUDI TECH TALK SEMINARS
For the technically-minded or simply those always seeking to learn more, Tech Talks will offer deep-dive seminar style presentations by experts in their fields. Next to the Audi Concours on the grounds of Lansdowne for easy all-day access to both events, expect speakers such as product specialists from Audi, restoration and modification instruction from tuners, and other interesting Audi-focused subjects from industry experts and even fellow Audi Club member enthusiasts.
In addition to the seminars, attendees of the Tech Talk series will also have the opportunity to meet and talk with event sponsors such as tuners and parts manufacturers in a casual environment.

SMITHSONIAN STEVEN F. UDVAR-HAZY AIR & SPACE MUSEUM GALA
Audi Club North America culminates an exciting 35th Anniversary celebration at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy National Air and Space Museum home to two large hangars displaying thousands of aviation and space artifacts, including a Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a Concorde, and the Space Shuttle Discovery. Join us for a cocktail reception under the SR-71 Blackbird and dinner behind the Space Shuttle Discovery. This will be an evening you won’t want to miss as you tour the museum and enjoy your last evening with Audi Club and special guests. Gala speaker details are forthcoming.
