On Saturday March 16th, Audi Club Lone Star Chapter members were given the opportunity to take in the latest offerings from Audi at the Dallas Auto Show before opening to the general pubic. The display was made up of a wide variety of vehicles from the Q5 and Q7 SUVs to the high revving RS5 and stunning new 2014 R8 V10 Plus Exclusive. Several members were given the opportunity to ascend the platform and sit in the R8’s new diamond stitch interior. Another favorite of the group was the 2013 S6 that several of us had the opportunity to enjoy on the track at Motor Sports Ranch in Cressen, TX last fall. Outside of the R8, perhaps the surprise of the show was the new 2014 A8L 3.0L TDI V6. Impressive fuel economy numbers of 24 mpg city and 36 mpg highway for a car of this size and level of luxury and with 406 lb/ft of torque, it has plenty of get up and go!
