Dr. Ullrich speaks at Panel Discussion on Green Racing

Dr. Ullrich, Head of Audi Motorsport, spoke at the Green Racing, Technology Transfer from the Raceway to the Driveway, panel discussion held in the Velocity Lounge of the Circuit of the Americas on Thursday, September 19th.

The panel consisted of several key personnel supporting green racing initiatives started, in great part, by Dr. Ullrich himself. Scott Atherton, President of ALMS; Chris Baker, Director of Motorsports, Michelin North America, and several others were also present to discuss the importance of Green Racing and how that technology makes its way to production cars.  Jamie Howe of ESPN moderated the discussion.

There was a significant focus on Audi Sport and the barriers they have broken since introducing diesel as a fuel source for racing cars in 2006, proving that an alternative fuel powered vehicle could win the 24 Hours of Le Mans.  Since then, Audi Sport has been pushing the boundaries of green technology with the use of the e-tron quattro diesel hybrid.

After the discussion, panelists were available to meet and greet and discuss green racing.
