Preparations for the 2019 season are in full swing at MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport. From January 25th to 27th the team from Niederdreisbach starts at the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The Audi R8 LMS GT3 will be driven by Christopher Mies, Dries Vanthoor, Ricardo Feller and Daniel Morad.

Traditionally, the 24-hour race in Florida is the prelude to the IMSA WeatherTechSportsCar Championship. Already in the years 2017 and 2018 MONTAPLAST by Land-Motorsport was on the Daytona International Speedway. In 2017, the team took second place in the GTD class.

The long-distance classic in the sunshine state of the United States is also part of the North American Endurance Cup. In addition to the race in Daytona, the races in Sebring, Watkins Glen and the Petit Le Mans belong to the championship.

“We are confident about our first race in 2019,” says Christian Land. “With an extensive preparation phase and a strong driver squad we want to have a say in the victory again. In the past, we have proven our potential in Daytona on several occasions. “

On December 11, the first tire test for the troupe and the pilots Mies and Feller was on the program – in the coming season, the racing series changes to Michelin tires. On December 15 and 16, two more private tests will follow in Daytona with the trio Vanthoor, Feller and Morad.
