Cahoon Ranch in the beautiful Carmel Valley will be the destination for the Audi Overlanding event on Saturday, June 11th. Overlanding is a vehicle-based, on-road and off-road, adventure travel with a focus on self-reliance, resilience, and enjoyment of the journey. The most appealing aspect of overlanding is – anyone can do it.
Club members are invited to a day of exploring multiple off-road trail drives, clay pigeon shooting, rifle range access with a shooting range specialist on hand. Pack a picnic lunch or bring your own BBQ favorites to grill. The club will provide non-alcoholic drinks along with sweet and savory snacks!
Our friends at Steven’s Creek Audi will provide two to three modified Allroads for guest rides on one of three courses or you can experiment with your own car.
Schedule for the day:
11:00 a.m. Meet at the Cahoon Ranch entrance at 39201 East Carmel Valley Road.
A detailed map will be provided with the registration packet. Please note that the location is remote, there will be no cell service (15-20 mile stretch) and you should have a full tank of gas.
12:00 p.m. Lunch and “Overlanding” tech talk provided by the team from Steven’s Creek Audi.
Your checklist for the day should include the following: lunch, folding picnic chair(s), hat, boots, sunscreen, walking stick, bug spray and a lightweight jacket as temperatures may vary. Please note, there is poison oak on the property.
The ranch is definitely “off the beaten path” so prepare accordingly, cell service is limited.
