Event Recap: April Teen Car Control Clinic

Ten teens from around the metro braved the early morning chill and drizzle on April 15th at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, MN to join instructors and staff from Audi Club Glacier Lakes for our first Teen Car Control Clinic of the 2023 season.  Billed as a day to “learn everything they didn’t teach in traditional driver’s training courses,” students learned theory in classroom sessions about vehicle dynamics, situational awareness, cornering, braking, and accident avoidance.  Then they headed out onto the track and put the theory into practice, learning how to actually handle their vehicle in various driving conditions and situations, while receiving personal coaching and encouragement from their trained instructor in the passenger seat.

The confidence and proficiency gains by the end of the day were dramatic, and smiles were abundant!  ACGL is committed to graduating students who are safer and more skillful drivers than when they showed up.  In our class this time we had the 11th of 11 grandchildren of John and Kathy Noer, who are obviously strong believers in the program through the years. Thank you, Noers, for entrusting us with your most important people!
