quattroberfest, our premier High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) event was held October 7-9 at Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) on the Donnybrook course. What amazing fun we had! For those who attended, we’d love to see your pictures. Post them up on social media and tag us, or send us an email:

If you’ve never been to an HPDE track event, we learn how to drive and control our cars on the track from our trained classroom and in-car Instructors. For those who have been approved to drive solo based on their prior experience and skill demonstration, they hone their skills through setting new goals, gathering knowledge and advice from other advanced drivers, asking Instructors to ride along for added coaching, and having fun out on the track.
The experience on the track is amazing, but the community you share the experience with is AWESOME. Need a tool or a helping hand? Need some advice? Need some moral support? Or the occasional tow home? Need some coffee? They have you covered. Always. And then there are the smiles, laughter, good-natured ribbing, great stories, and all around esprit de corps!
We absolutely cannot host this event without the support of our sponsors and volunteers.
Please thank our sponsors for their support – stop by their shop/office, send an email, give them a shout-out on social media. Let them know our community appreciates them!

Instructors, a simple thank you never feels like it is enough for all you do for us. You invest time in training and then willingly take the right seat in cars (often times with someone you’ve never met before) to help make us better, safer, more confident drivers and allow us to have amazingly fun experiences. Please accept our heart-felt thanks.
Creating and executing this event takes a tremendous amount of man hours and people. There is too long a list of persons to thank for their time in this article, but there is one in particular that deserves a standing ovation: Event Master Steve Wise. Securing dates, finding caters, wooing sponsors, negotiating Guest speakers, managing rosters, updating and printing event materials, etc. is a TON of work. Steve takes it all on and does it all with style and grace. His dedication to our community is admirable. Thank you, Steve!
NVUS Images was on site capturing the action. If you didn’t get a chance to speak with them at the event, watch their website in the coming weeks to see the great shots they took. If you decide to purchase a photo or a set, you can contact them via their site.
