Audi Club North America (ACNA) declared in an announcement on April 17, 2020 titled “An Updated Message about COVID-19 & Club Events” that ACNA Chapters and members are prohibited from engaging in any in-person events or gatherings under the ACNA banner from April 18, 2020 through 5 p.m. on June 1, 2020.
As a result of that declaration, and given the unprecedented environment in which we find ourselves, the Board has elected to cancel rather than reschedule events planned during that time frame. Those already registered for the May 16th Lapping Day will be contacted via email regarding refunds.
This was not an easy decision for the Board. We miss gathering as a community and we were as excited about the upcoming Lapping Day and our annual spring Picnic at Anderson Motorsport as you were.
We want to thank long-time sponsor Anderson Motorsport for their continued support of ACGL and our spring picnic. Although we are unable to gather with them to celebrate spring 2020, we appreciate their unwavering support of our community.
We are as anxious as you to better understand what the next few months will look like for our club and hope that we will be able to host events in the latter part of the year. We continue to monitor guidance from our federal and state authorities, the medical community, and ACNA and will provide updates as we learn more.
