While in Monterey for car week, we caught up with the team from Italdesign ahead of the main events. The Pebble Beach Concours planned a so-called “wedge class” of iconic angular cars and Italdesign aimed to include its 1973 Audi Asso di Picche alongside their recent modern reinterpretation. So far as we know, this was the Asso di Picche’s first visit to America, so we aimed to photograph it and tell its story.
