The Emerald Coast Region continues car-focused activities this month under the leadership of Bobby Hopp and Melisa Wilcox. The Platinum Coast continues to have events in the Naples and Fort Myers area. The Gulf Coast continues to meet at Reeves Motorsports on the first Saturday of the month. The Gold Coast will be at Cars and Coffee at the Miami International Mall on the second Sunday of the month and the First Coast is attending Caffeine and Octane ant the Avenues Mall the second Saturday of the month. Also check with our Prestige Partners ABT, Audi Clearwater, Audi Jacksonville and UroTuning for some good deals to get ready for FixxFest, and also those Black Friday sales.

It is the same great event, but with an exciting new location. Many of you are aware of the location. UroTuning is hoping to draw even more show competition from neighboring states; as well people who want have fun at the track. More details will given as they are “firmed up”.

Ticket sales will be available at the event gate but STRONGLY encouraged to have tickets pre-purchased to alleviate any traffic conflicts and expedite people getting in and enjoying the event.

Track ticket sales close November 10th at midnight – – READ ALL FAQ ON TRACK TICKETS PAGE. Participants are REQUIRED to pass a vehicle tech inspection that includes personal inspection of safety equipment such as a helmet that is SNELL2010 Certified or newer.
Due to layout, we are recommending any groups that wish to park near each other, to enter together to not have any vehicles crossing across parking areas and cause any traffic conflicts.
Tents, BBQ’s, and chairs are all permitted and allowed but please be responsible and clean up after yourselves.

While welcomed to these venues, remember we are guests of the establishment or promoter and respect the rules. ACFL recommends obeying the most up to date guidelines and orders issued by the regions and governor concerning events.
ACFL still suggests using an antibacterial wipe, a disposable protective glove, a plastic t-shirt bag, or a dog poop bag as a barrier while using the fuel pumps to avoid potential exposure and dispose of it after fueling. Be careful out there and protect your health. #FlattenTheCurve
ACNA Vehicle Purchase Discount Certificates
For those of you planning to buy a new Audi and utilizing the ACNA Member discount, contact the front office at (262) 567-5476 as soon as you plan to shop. The certificates expire at the end of the month issued, so should negotiations lapse into the next month, you will need to request a new one to take advantage of the savings.

Many people have emailed me personally and through the national office to find out why there is not something in their area. I tell them assistance is required to help get things going locally. We desire to unite the state and have events within an hour’s drive of your location, at least quarterly. We are looking for some people who have the ambition to lead and desire to start something long term, helping arrange places to meet for lunch, activities, attend local car shows and coffee events, and other social activities. If you would like to volunteer and help organize a successful regional club, please contact me for details, and we will discuss making it happen. If you want to become active to help your region with ideas and help assist with and organize events, with regional leadership I would love to have your help. This club is for you, so help us make it work for you.

Legends of the Autobahn, November 6th Hilton Head South Carolina.
This is part of a larger Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance being held at the Port Royal Gulf Club on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. There will be exhibits of Mercedes Benz, BMW’s and of course our favorite marque and the ACNA manning a tent with approximately 30 members’ Audis on display. Hilton Head is not that far a drive from Northern Florida and those of you who receive this newsletter in Georgia. This looks like a fantastic event with the a classic car Concours d’Elegance part similar to Pebble Beach and one that the ACNA combined with the NorCal chapter which past ACNA President Andreas D. many years ago worked hard to establish on the West Coast. Legends of the Autobahn (hhiconcours.com).Unfortunately there has been no specific “Audi Corral” parking but next year perhaps we can plan caravans to this event from our multiple South Eastern regions and make this a joint regional happening with Audi Corral Parking.
But then there is more!
Recently it was announced that Reeve’s Audi has been sold. For over 20 years, Kim, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reeves, has been a driving force, sponsoring the ACFL in Cars and Coffee, Tech Sessions, Show and Shines, Christmas Brunches with Santa including Toys for Tots drives, the opening of the Motorsports Division and especially the wonderful “Dropping of the Flag” for the start of the 24 Hours of LeMans. Those were all fantastic events especially LeMans with its tents, brunch, mimosas, swag, and of course, multi live screen broadcasts. Literally hundreds of chapter members and motorsports fans have attended these events over the years and to Kim and the dealerships support, we must be forever grateful. It is my understanding that the Reeves team will be remaining in place to continue the family level of service.
I would also be remiss if I did not mention the passing of Dwayne Hawkins, Principle and owner of Crown Motorcars of which Audi Clearwater is a part. Crown Audi, is one of our Prestige Partners, has been unbelievably supportive of the Gulf Coast Region and the ACFL Chapter. Over the years this support has manifested itself in holding meets, providing the breakfasts and starting venues for numerous MPG Rallys and drives to St Augustine, Gainesville, and Key West. One evening, they supplied a transporter full of Audis when we cordoned off two blocks of Corey Ave on St Pete Beach and presented the Audi LeMans win racing film “Truth in 24” at a premier showing along with wine and beer at the historic St. Pete Beach Theater. All this was part of his philosophy of supporting the club, which trickled down and was executed by the dealership. It always made those 5:00 AM workouts in the gym go so much quicker when he was at the next workout station, we would be discussing things automotive and he would ask what the club was up to and did we need any additional support from the dealership. Frankly, I never found the need to ask, quite the gentleman and entrepreneur.

November Florida Newsletter from Platinum Coast Audi
As we start our second year as a reactivated region, we reflect on some great memories and wonderful friendships that the last 12 months have held for us. We are looking forward to opening our second year right back where we started this gig—The Fort Myers Dealership at 10050 Daniels Interstate Ct., Fort Myers, FL 33913 on Saturday, November 13, 2021. We plan to meet up at 9:00 am for some coffee and doughnuts and to reconnect with our core group and welcome some new members as well. There will be door prizes (which also mean a quiz or two) thanks to our generous manager, David Forbes. After a review of what’s happening in Ingolstadt, on the high seas, at the ports, and at the dealership, we’ll have a chance to talk with the technical staff about all things Audi. Of course we’ll check out the newest arrivals that they have in their inventory. Afterwards we will have our mystery drive to a lunch spot in the area guided by mile markers and landmarks. If you are reading this and are in our region (Bradenton south to Marco Island) and are not on our email list, shoot us an email, so we can update you on more events and details.
