The Emerald Coast Region continues car-focused activities this month under the leadership of Bobby Hopp and Melisa Wilcox. The Platinum Coast continues to have events in the Naples and Fort Myers area. The Gulf Coast continues to meet at Reeves Motorsports on the first Saturday of the month. The Gold Coast is restarting Cars and Coffee at the Miami International Mall on Sunday September 12th and the First Coast is hosting Caffeine and Octane ant the Avenues Mall September 11th. See the regional sections for more details. Since the Audi Club RS 6 Avant Sweepstakes has ended, we now wait for the announcement of the winner. Hopefully, a winner gets to bring her home to Audi Club Florida.
FixxFest
FixxFest will be happening this year.

Where – Florida International Rally & Motorsport Park (The FIRM) Starke, FL.

It is the same great event, but with an exciting new location. Many of you are aware of the location. UroTuning is hoping to draw even more show competition from neighboring states; as well people who want have fun at the track. More details will given as they are “firmed up”.

“As of last week, we officially announced that Volkswagen of America is going to be officially sponsoring the event which is HUGE for us! We are super excited to have them on board. The next set of 20 Race Tickets are going to go live September 1st for purchase. As with this month, there are only 20 tickets made available to allow everyone a fair chance to get one leading up to the event. We are giving away 1 FREE Track Ticket to anyone who posts an Instagram photo of their car with a caption of why they should win the ticket, and they MUST include the tags #racefixxfest and @fixxfest to win. Winners are announced at the end of the month.
Best of show tickets are still available at no limit currently, so the more the merrier! We do hand select cars at best of show based off modifications, style and overall look. The Selected Best of Show Vehicles will be notified and advised on further instructions about the show.
General Admission Tickets are also still available at no limit. Once again, the more the merrier!! We are planning on having a few different food trucks at the event, vendors of all kind, and BBQ’s are permitted as long as those who decide to bring food, snacks, drinks, keep their area clean of any garbage to respect the facility and keep the shine of FixxFest for any media people walking around.
As far as creating some space for Audi Club exclusively, we are still trying to finalize layout plans so we will have to get back to you on availability of that. With a new venue and layout changes, we need to take into account a million different factors.”
In my coordination with UroTuning, the uncertainty of the new venue and attendance, group roll-ins are suggested if you want to park with specific people. We may not have a specific Audi area available this year.
Our priority is keeping you safe when participating in events representing or promoting the club. Audi Club of Florida is not willing to put anyone at risk. While welcomed to these venues, remember we are guests of the establishment or promoter and respect the rules. ACFL recommends obeying the most up to date guidelines and orders issued by the regions and governor concerning events.
ACFL still suggests using an antibacterial wipe, a disposable protective glove, a plastic t-shirt bag, or a dog poop bag as a barrier while using the fuel pumps to avoid potential exposure and dispose of it after fueling. Be careful out there and protect your health. #FlattenTheCurve
ACNA Vehicle Purchase Discount Certificates
For those of you planning to buy a new Audi and utilizing the ACNA Member discount, contact the front office at (262) 567-5476 as soon as you plan to shop. The certificates expire at the end of the month issued, so should negotiations lapse into the next month, you will need to request a new one to take advantage of the savings.

Audi Club of Florida has the most active regions of any chapter in the Audi Club North America. As we continue this year, we are currently looking for leadership in the following area:

Thomas Brinkmann, the General Manager, of Audi Gainesville is ready to work with a representative to establish the region. If you are up to the challenge, let me know.
Many people have emailed me personally and through the national office to find out why there is not something in their area. I tell them assistance is required to help get things going locally. We desire to unite the state and have events within an hour’s drive of your location, at least quarterly. We are looking for some people who have the ambition to lead and desire to start something long term, helping arrange places to meet for lunch, activities, attend local car shows and coffee events, and other social activities. If you would like to volunteer and help organize a successful regional club, please contact me for details, and we will discuss making it happen. If you want to get active to help your region with ideas and help assist with and organize events, the regional leadership and I would love to have your help. This club is for you, so help us make it work for you.

Well here we are stuck in a Groundhog Day movie again. Our SWFL Covid numbers have had a huge uptick which has put us in a holding pattern once again. We are looking forward to kicking off the season once our Snowbirds return and our Full-timers get back from their northern relative check-ins. October will find us playing in our northern-most area, Sarasota, at the UTC (University Town Center) monthly car show that takes place on the second Saturday of the month at 8 am. So we plan to rendezvous on Saturday, October 9th at 8:00 am. We will then venture out on our mystery brunch drive to an undisclosed nearby restaurant to enjoy each other’s company, catch up on the adventures over the summer, and to work on our preview of the season’s plans and events.

FixxFest 2021 Tickets are on sale! They will be up for sale all the way up till the event on November 20th. There are three different tickets available this year: General Admission, Best of Show, and the newly added Track Ticket which includes some time on the track at the Florida International Rally and Motorsports Park ( The FIRM). We set the track up like an autocross style with a Point A and a Point B to preserve safety, but still allow drivers to take advantage of nearly all the track. Keep an eye out on the FixxFest social accounts for more details to come!
