This past month little was going on and this month will be more of the same. Once again, the Audi Club Florida not will be conducting, organizing, and participating in many events this month. With that said, most regions remain very restrictive on what can take place and that is our major limitation, but the priority is keeping you safe when participating in events representing or promoting the club. Audi Club Florida is not willing to put anyone at risk. The chapter leadership is conducting conference calls monthly to discuss our intentions as a group. We are about to go crazy from not having events. Those of you reading this newsletter are the ones who drive and inspire us to become leaders in the first place, to organize and lead regions, now that we cannot have meets we are all lost. As I heard, it said by the previous Audi Club North America President Bud Dannemiller, “The cars bring us together, the friends bring us back.”
In the meantime, feel free to organize activities with your Audi owning friends and enjoy your wheels, have some social interaction, following the state and local guidelines when in public, and as well in private. Protect yourself.

FixxFest in November: Hosted by UroTuning – More to follow –UroTuning and I will keep you posted. Multiple builds happening that can put another Audi on the t-shirts again next year.
In most areas, events are not happening due to the occupancy rules and restrictions. When we get going, we are pleased to have the Platinum Coast and the Space Coast starting up with regional activities. Much planning is going into this. ACFL is recommending obeying the most up to date guidelines and orders issued by the regions and governor concerning events. ACFL still suggests using an antibacterial wipe, some type of disposable protective glove, a plastic t-shirt bag, or dog poop bag as a barrier while using the fuel pumps to avoid potential exposure and dispose of it after fueling. Be careful out there and protect your health until we can start meeting up again. #FlattenTheCurve
Audi COVID-19 Assistance:
If you know anyone who has been adversely affected by COVID-19 and being out of work for the time being, Audi of America through Audi Financial Services is offering payment deferral and lease extensions for people affected and financed with them. As we continue this year, we are currently looking for leadership in the following area:
Gator Region – Gainesville Area
Many people have emailed me personally and through the national office wondering why there is not something in their area. I tell them assistance is required to help get things going locally. We desire to unite the state and have events within an hour’s drive of your location at least quarterly. We are looking for some people who have the ambition to lead and desire to start something long term, helping arrange places to meet for lunch, activities, attend local car shows and coffee events, and other social activities. If you would like to volunteer and help organize a successful regional club, please contact me for details and we will discuss making it happen.

I recently visited with David Jacovides, who is the General Manager of Audi Clearwater and he mentioned that they had three new 2020 R8s at special pricing for ACFL/ACNA members. You should know there is seldom any discounting on R and RS models so here is your chance.
Yes, as those of you who follow the auto industry have noted, unfortunately, sales are down for European cars as the factories have been closed. In a recent note from Andreas B. from Ingolstadt, Audi production is ramping up again as the Covid-19 crisis is abating so there should soon be a flow of new inventor and greater selection. Audi Clearwater still has a fairly good selection and some fantastic specials on certain cars.

One thing especially important is that you can now order for delivery your bespoke iterations of the following exciting vehicles to be put into the production queue as the plants are now opening in Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm and other sites across Europe: RS Q8, SQ8, and SQ7, plus the all new A6 allroad. Contingent on the opening of the European production, some of these might be 2021 models.
While some Audi dealerships in Florida are floor planning close to 500 new Audi on their lots, which means their monthly interest expenses (floor plan) are through the roof, Audi Clearwater has been holding many of their cars at the port of Jacksonville. These cars are still available within 48-72 hours for delivery but by managing their inventory at smarter levels and JIT deliveries they can offer better pricing on new Audis during these turbulent times, although the suits at AoA marketing continue to withhold corporate money from the market to buy the additional business. It is a car buyer’s market at present, especially with the low-interest rates.
George Rangelov is now the Club’s Audi Brand Specialist and “go-to” individual to ensure you receive the above specific savings when you purchase your next new Audi. Make sure to contact George directly at 727-906-1101 and he will get you squared away. George is also aware of the ACNA club discount on certain vehicles. By going through George, this also helps us in tracking the value of the Prestige Partnership Program (PPP) and how many vehicles the ACFL helps the dealership sell when we try to recruit new dealerships in different geographic regions of the state to the PPP.
Do not forget that Todd Emery who manages the operations, service, and parts departments at Audi Clearwater is offering a 15% discount to all readers of this newsletter on Parts and Service for your Audis. You need not have purchased your Audi at Audi Clearwater to receive this discount. If you are traveling to the Sunshine State and are a reader of the ACFL Newsletter you can also use this discount should you need service for your Audi while you are on the road.
The above discount cannot be combined with any other discounts or offers but is available and all that is required is that when you are writing up your service order that you mention the ACFL newsletter and the code 0820 for August to your service writer. Down the Road
Cars and Coffee Reeves Motorsports. As of checking with Reeves Motorsports on July 24th, they will not be holding their Cars and Coffee in August due to the continued shut down because of the Covid-19 virus. Hopefully, things will clear up by September and these fantastic events can be held again.
