This past month there was a luncheon in Pensacola, as well as Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Pensacola, attended Cars and Coffees in their respective regions. Audi Pensacola has hosted a fundraiser toy drive with a giveaway. Many thanks to Audi Pensacola for providing such a wonderful public service to their community.
Now we focus on our next club function, the ACFL Board of Directors Luncheon at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet in Daytona Beach, FL January 4th at 11:00 am with a trip to the track afterward to observe Roar Before the 24 testing at the track. Everyone enjoyed the wide selection of food, and they are expecting our return. We will also have some swag to be given away at the luncheon, with some ladies apparel included to boot. I will have hearing protection available for the track also.

Prime Osborn Center Auto Show: February 14, 15 & 16. I need some volunteers to help out. Also, we may have one of our group member’s vehicle displayed at the auto show. AudiJax is onboard with providing a service loaner if the person needs a car. The car will be displayed in the show for approximately two days. Look for an entry/vote poll to come to the JaxRings Facebook page.
January Luncheon
The First Coast Region Monthly Luncheon after the Automotive Addict Cars and Coffee at the Avenues Mall 11 January will be skipped. We will have our next meeting for the Audi Club Florida Board of Directors Luncheon on January 4th, 11:00 am. We a will meet at the Starbucks 14560 Old Saint Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258 so nobody has to travel north hopefully to go south. Please arrive gassed up and ready to depart from Starbucks. We will depart at 9:30 sharp to arrive approx. 11:00 am at the Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet, or you can meet us there. A single-day ticket is $20 per adult, kids 12 and under free. Parking is also free with ticket purchase. Buffet price was $12 per parson last year with a drink plus tip.
Quattro de Mayo
Quattro de Mayo (QDM) at The Ridges Resort on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, Georgia April 30-May 3, the event Registration opens on January 15th at noon (EST) and is VERY important to be ready to register ASAP. All registration spots were gone within 12 hours last year. You will have to be a current and active ACNA member to register. This event is put on by Audi Club of Georgia.

First of the Year Specials at Audi Clearwater
November was the best sales month in Audi of America’s history with over 20K cars sold in the US and Audi Clearwater participated in that by selling over 120 cars of which 84 were brand new Audis. Considering the market they compete in, there are four other dealerships, their third place in Florida region is an excellent performance compared to those in much larger markets like Orlando.
This is all part of their excellence in providing a first class ownership experience to their loyal customer base, repeat customers and aggressive pricing to attract new Audi drivers to the brand and ownership experience. Emerald Coast Region – Panhandle
December was an epic way to end an exciting 2019 for our newly reactivated Emerald Coast Region-ACFL. It has been a pleasure to meet all of you and watch our group grow. We really appreciate everyone that came out and donated to all the charity events we attended including Mobile’s C&C Toys for Tots and Pensacola’s C&C Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. We also teamed up with Audi Pensacola’s Toys for Tot Drive and they raffled off an amazing Audi swag bag (pictured below) which lucky winner Jack M. Vorozheykin got to take home. Thank you all and congratulations Jack!
2020 is going to be even more fun with lots of events to look forward to. Locally we will continue to attend Destin’s C&C every first Saturday of the month and Pensacola’s C&C every fourth Saturday of the month.
Just a little further out-west of us, we will support Mobile’s C&C events designated on Saturday’s (not monthly) throughout the year with the first one scheduled for February 8th.
Our annual Britton Hill Run is scheduled for March 7th, an all-day driving event of back road fun and a visit to the highest point in Florida to join the “High-Pointers” Club.
We are planning a caravan this year to Quattro de Mayo (QDM) at The Ridges Resort on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, Ga. on April 29th for the April 30-May 3 event. Registration opens on January 15th at noon (EST) and is VERY important to be ready to register ASAP. All registration spots were gone within 12 hours last year. You will have to be a current and active ACNA member to attend.
I hope to get some “test and tune” events this year. Looking at good open track days and venue… more info to come.
Audi Pensacola will continue to host Car Care Clinics quarterly. Special big thank you to the staff at the dealership for always supporting ECR-ACFL!
ACNA National’s (date TBA) will be in Austin, Texas and The Tourist Trophy of America (TTOA) will be coming through our area on an epic convoy adventure leading into the event. We will be participating!
