This past month there were luncheons in Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Pensacola, as well as Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Pensacola, attended Cars and Coffees in their respective regions.
Audi Pensacola has hosted its second Car Care Clinic on November 7th, 4-7 pm. This is an invaluable service from top technicians who understand your car with factory training. Many people showed for a fun-filled and informative event with questions for answers to common and uncommon questions about vehicle maintenance and operation. Many thanks to Audi Pensacola for providing such a service to their community.
FixxFest
Our inaugural year of participating in FixxFest was an overwhelming success. If you missed the event, hopefully, you can make it next year. Audi Club of Florida joined a total of 50 vendors to put on a show for over 2500 enthusiasts. To start we went the day before doing some preliminary set up to make it easier the next morning setting up the flags, tent, and staging cars like many vendors. Saturday morning was an early start to arrive at the track for the final setup. So many incredible things happened on such an exciting day. The presence of Audi this year at FixxFest was incredible. This was the largest amount of Audi owners I have ever seen in one place. Audi Club of Florida, Central Florida Audi Group, and Audi Sport of Tampa were overflowing an area I had marked off the day before, a massive area which we thought was going to be plenty of room by the respective club leaders and myself, but the Audi owners showed up in dominating force which was unrivaled by any other brand. I want to thank every Audi owner who attended, you helped make this a great one. I wish I could have gotten around to visit more people from Central Florida Audi Group and Audi Sport of Tampa, but I was there to ensure we did what we told UroTuning we were going to do happened. Things went very well, I want to thank all those who were offering food, but I can only eat so much.
Thank you to Robert Greving, Bobby Hopp, Matthew Coyle, Leslie de la Serna, and Tampa Bay Automobile Museum for all your help with the setup breakdown of the Audi Club of Florida area, in addition to the display of the 1935 Audi Gläser Cabriolet completely restored to concourse condition by the museum; Matt Mulligan and Jorge Acosta for getting your groups together and getting me a rough count for space to reserve for their groups; Paul Barney and Euro Tripper Promotions for the invitation to Euro Tripper 7 February 8th in Fort Myers, FL.
This is an exact quote from Jorge Acosta because I could not have said it any better. “Word has literally spread to people who weren’t in attendance about it was an “Audi Fest” this year, and to that, I say “DANG RIGHT!” It’s always been a VW fest so for a change we came out guns blazing and led the way, with a massive participation on the drag strip, multiple awards being won in the car show, Audi cars parked and displayed in almost every direction you looked and our very own Marck Alegria taking the coveted Best of Show award, marking the first time that an Audi will be on the FixxFest shirt next year!”
Lastly, I would like to thank Justin Welty, Ali Welty, and the whole UroTuning crew for allowing us to be a part of the show with the following storybook endings, and the invitation to return next year.
1. Our first year in and an Audi wins Best of Show.
2. All the Florida Audi Clubs parking together in one huge area, that we thought was going to plenty when they arrived but the Audi club people kept showing up, not complaining there at all.
3. Audi Sweepstakes cars were the colors of the signage provided by the ACNA to promote ticket sales.
4. The Museum folks had a great time and received a lot of exposure, so many people lived nearby it and didn’t realize what a fantastic auto museum was right in their back yard.
5. The Audi Club of Florida received a lot of exposure, we all talked to many people and recruited some new members and hopefully a few to rejoin.
6. The Audi Club of Florida received an invite to Euro Tripper, another large European car show.
7. The Best of Show Audi classes were displayed right across from our Audi Club of Florida venue.
8. An invitation to return next year, so when we know the dates, I will let you know.
Now we focus on our next club function, the ACFL Board of Directors Luncheon at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet in Daytona Beach, FL January 4th at 11:00 am with a trip to the track afterward to observe Roar Before the 24 testing at the track.
Everyone enjoyed the wide selection of food, and they are expecting our return. We will also have some swag to be given away at the luncheon, with some ladies apparel included to boot. I will have hearing protection available for the track also.
This first year as club president, I have met a lot of people and made many new friends in my travels with the club. I look forward to seeing and meeting more of you at events next year. I wish all of you the very best, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

There will be a drawing for an Audi bicycle. Drawing will be held on December 24 as a Christmas gift. To qualify, an individual must spend a minimum of $200 on apparel to qualify, and be an Audi club member to enter the raffle. The name will be picked at random on the 24th for 1 bicycle.
All purchases for the raffle must be paid in full by the 23rd of December.
December Luncheon
The First Coast Region Monthly Luncheon after the Automotive Addict Cars and Coffee at the Avenues Mall 14 December will be skipped for December. We will have our next meeting for the Audi Club Florida Board of Directors Luncheon January 4th , 11:00 am.

Some Final Thoughts
Yes, it is that time of year and Cars and Coffee at Reeves Motorsports will be holding their annual gift drive for those who unfortunately are a bit less well-off this season than we are. We as Audi owners are very lucky; we have been more than fortunate and of course, combined with our own hard work. sacrifice and a little good fortune along the way to have been either successful entrepreneurs or gainfully employed to the extent that we can afford to drive Audis and oh yes, and some may have also retired from the grind. All can certainly afford to dig just a little deeper into our pockets to help make some child’s Christmas sparkle just a little bit brighter.
So please remember if you are joining the Gulf Coast Region of the ACFL at Reeves Cars and Coffee or you see the Marines’ Toys for Tots or even the Salvation Army ringing their bell in front of Publix, you share some of your good fortune and the joy and spirit and of this wonderful season.
