This month many of our members including me, will be heading out for the events in Helen, GA and Savannah, GA. There is plenty of fun to be had but remember to be safe in the process. I am not ready to lose anyone.
At the First Coast Region Luncheon, I was happy to announce we have a new First Coast Region Lead or Representative, Leslie de la Serna. We welcome him: his prior military experience brings leadership, he loves to meet people, and travels to numerous events. He was also active with his chapter in California. He will be a great addition and his assistance will be a great asset to the Florida Chapter in promoting the club in a professional manner and fostering growth.
The groundwork for the Annual Key West Drive is going well. We are also working on obtaining a group rate in Miami / Pembroke Pines area for those arriving the night before to participate. We have secured a group rate for August 23rd-25th at the Key West Marriott Beachside. Although we plan to drive down from Miami / Pembroke Pines area to Key West on August 24th, the hotel extended the group rate to two nights before just in case anyone desires to go on down and meet us there, and one night after if anyone wants an extra day in Key West to explore. Lastly if anyone has a roof rack for a B8-B8.5 2008-2016 Audi A4/S4/RS4 laying around in their garage, we could use one for transporting our club tent to events. June 22nd- Audi Test Track at TIAA Stadium Lot “E”
This will be an event hosted by Audi of Jacksonville and Audi of Orange Park. The e-tron will be available to test drive, and it will be the Audi Jacksonville e-tron launch event. Drivers will get to cruise a course in various vehicles with a dealer representative explaining the vehicles capabilities and giving a short training session to familiarize the driver with the vehicle.

I just received my monthly Audi News from Audi AG in Germany and it is always interesting to peruse over all of the different models that are available to those who live across the pond. Frankly, it is mind-boggling let alone the number of different options. If you can understand a little German, the fist link below is the entire line of Audis models. Prices include the German MwSt (sales tax) of 19%. Unfortunately, a hidden cost of living in Germany and being able to own one of these beauties is if you earn over $62K annually, you will pay an income tax rate of 43% including an 8% to 9% Church tax and an additional 21% going for their equivalent of our social security. Ouch!

FixxFest Count Down
ACFL planning for FixxFest in November continues especially now that we have secured some nice gift certificates for the winner and runners up of the Show and Shine.
