Find of the Day: Throwdown Edition Episode 7: New German Performance – Episode 8 Preview: Audi of America

words: Bill

I knew as we were inviting the Episode 7 guests that it would be a very entertaining episode…I just didn’t know that I would have a breakdown midway through it. New German Performance was our guest that week: John Martin, Dave Graf, and Mike Humphrey. New German Performance has two locations: Aberdeen, MD and Manassas Park, VA. They are a full service automotive repair center and online parts retailer, comprised of a group of dedicated enthusiasts, providing high quality service, maintenance and performance solutions for fellow enthusiasts and owners of European automobiles in the Mid Atlantic region.

They also are the caretakers of the Audi America Heritage collection including a red Sport quattro, an Audi R8 LMP1, an Audi R10 LMP1, and an Audi R18 LMP1. As such, we decided our categories this week were to be: 1) modified cars (since NGP can mod the **** out of yours), 2) race cars (since they also have a couple of TCR race cars), and 3) classic Audi vehicles made before 2000 (a nod to the Heritage fleet).

As mentioned before, Dave had me in stitches and I had to leave the livestream for a bit. Who won? I think we all won with this episode of Find of the Day: Throwdown Edition.

Hey speaking of racing, NGP will have 2 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR cars on track this weekend at TC America at Viriginai International Raceway. You can watch them race HERE.

We took a week off last week for the holiday, replacing the Find of the Day episode with a News and Events and our own Find of the Day cast.

This week is going to be a special one…we FINALLY got Ian Avilla! This week’s panel is all Audi of America: the aforementioned Ian Avilla, Jacob Brown from Audi PR, and Rico Abramzon, After Sales Manager. Jacob has been claiming victory all week so will he prevail? Watch and find out. Join us at 7pm EST tonight.
