Find of the Day: Former H&R Audi exclusive RS 3

words: Bill, photos: H&R, George Achorn

This particular Audi exclusive Orange Pearl Effect V3 may look familiar to some readers as it has graced both the pages of quattro Magazine and the website (featured in q1_2018 and in the SEMA Show photo gallery on the site). It was my instant favorite at SEMA not only because of its eye-grabbing color but also of the “ghost” Audi rings on its flanks…reminiscent of when I played Gran Turismo and dominated with my B5 Audi.

As the article highlighted above states, this was the personal car of H&R America’s U.S. boss, Roland Graef and as such, was equipped with the latest and greatest from them. This black optics sedan was further complimented by Audi Genuine Accessories carbon fiber rear spoiler and mirror covers.  The R8 V10 plus 20-inch wheels and H&R’s RSS Tuner coilovers, further augmented by their Sport Sway Bars, just complete the OEM+ style.

Sadly, the RS 3 was reverted back to stock when it was put up for sale though we were told that the Audi Genuine Accessories are still installed. Now all you have to do is find a set of R8 V10 plus front wheels, throw on a set of H&R coilers, and find someone to make the ghost rings to bring this back to its eye-grabbing look.

You can find this gorgeous RS 3 HERE at University Audi Lynnewood. All photos with the exception of the one above are of the car when it was owned by Roland Graef.
