Find of the Day: DKW Munga / Auto Union Bronco For Sale in Dillsburg, PA

Given we just reported on the story of the DKW Munga marketed as Auto Union Bronco in the USA, this DKW Munga for sale in Dillsburg, PA seemed to jump right out of Facebook Marketplace at us. Is Facebook stalking us? Maybe.

We’re a little confused by the listing. The Munga is listed as a 1954, though we know the Munga wasn’t introduced until 1957 (and began production in late 1956), but it’s not uncommon to find cars of this age with slightly incorrect documents and such, so maybe that’s not all that mysterious.

The color of the Munga is “red” and appears from the images to be a respray. Also giving that impression are the likely military spec green seats. Based on the Auto Union Bronco catalogue printed earlier today, we see that this Munga is a pickup configuration with side-facing jump seats. It’s also got what looks like a newer khaki top.

The DKW is listed for $10,800. Is that highway robbery or a bargain? It’s tough to tell. Munga’s aren’t exactly plentiful or even readily available, so we suspect it’s worth what it’s worth to a collector. Check out more on this car HERE.
