The other day, I fell into a Silver Arrow rabbit hole on YouTube and all of a sudden, I wanted a Type C. Sadly, not many survived. They were either scavenged for parts for later models or were destroyed during the war. Over a dozen were rumored to have been taken back to the USSR as war prizes. Today, one Type C, three Type D cars, and a Type C/D hill climb car remain.
There are several drivable replicas in the world and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll see one running at a track near you.
Or if you are hankering to own one made by Audi, you’re in luck (sorta). In 2007, Audi commissioned 999 1:2 scale Auto Union Type C pedal cars. What you see here is one of them. Here’s the ad:
Pass your passion for driving on to the youngest of the family with this Audi Auto Union Type replica from 1936 you will make them discover the speed and feeling of control that comes with being behind the steering wheel.
