Find of the Day: 2007 Audi RS 4 Romero Britto Art Car

words: Bill, photos: Prestige Imports

Well…this isn’t subtle. Our Find of the Day is a 2007 RS 4 art car painted by pop artist, Romero Britto. This isn’t a wrap but a genuine hand-painted work of art by Britto. Britto added his bold and vivid vision to what it looks like a Daytona Grey canvas. This car was commissioned by Audi for Art Chicago 2007, America’s longest running international and contemporary art fair.

Being a car enthusiast himself, Britto said of the car: For the Audi RS 4, I wanted to create something that would combine sophistication, dynamism and fun on one hand, but also include the aspect of a future generation on the other – as Audi is an innovative and leading brand. This is why I came to choose the portrait of a woman as it incorporates all these attributes.

Former New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, was the first to drive the Audi and from there, it went on a tour of cities from New York to Mexico. It ended the tour in Miami, where it was the centerpiece of a live auction that benefitted Best Buddies International. Where it was from then until today, I couldn’t find much, if any, information on it though the CarFax shows only one owner.  Today, it sits in Prestige Imports showroom with only 11,826 miles.

Normally, here is where I would cut to the ad but there’s nothing there but what a 2007 Audi RS 4 has as equipment and options. There’s no story of the car nor mention of Romero Britto except for photos of his signature on the dash and hood.

The RS 4 is otherwise stock with what looks like a Pearl Silver interior but I could be wrong. My friends have been trying to convince me to buy an RS 4 but I doubt I would be able to afford this one…after all, it’s a commissioned piece from Audi. The dealer also doesn’t list a price but asked that you call for the price. You know what they say: if you have to ask, you can’t afford it (Ed. note- we hear it’s upwards of $200,000USD). If you are in the market for a very low-mileage RS 4 that also happens to be a work of art, you can find this Romero Britto RS 4 HERE.

Thanks to Troy S. for bringing this to my attention…he’s one of those aforementioned bad influence friends.
